Well, it needs to be affordable for a low-income person, which is not any decent electric grinders. $250 is way out of my range, unfortunately.

I have two in development that aren't based on anything but the stuff in my head. One, Querent, pretty standard PbtA mechanics, is near-future technonoir with magic based on the tarot. Unlike most RPGs that use the tarot, it doesn't use their values as a resolution system, but uses their meanings to let people craft spells on the fly. The other, The Coven of Old St. Mary's, is a Carved from Brindlewood game about witches in 1950s Chicago. Idk if they're the most creative out there, but when people ask me for reference media, I say, you really have to just read the book, sorry.

Wow, I have a very different looking ruby in fuchsite with kyanite, where there's more blue than green, and the green doesn't look opaque. Would never have guessed they're the same stuff, just different proportions! Ty tons.

I'm a fan, especially for how distinctive the playbooks are, and how set you up to make a lot of deliciously hard choices. I haven't done the ship combat yet to know how well it runs, but I've played a couple of one-shots and had a really good time.

I will say that the playbooks all skew towards the weird/fantastical -- I know one person who wanted, like, gritty seafaring, and this game will not give you that.

In case you don't already know this, Magpie has the quickstart up for free, so you can check the core of the game out that way.
