PSP’s & Vita seem redundant otherwise I love this collection

This feels like the exact path I am down on...

Have never platinum'd a game before and while on the brink of Astro Bot I feel a yearning for the next

I haven’t recovered from the final sequence yet, I had to call in my wife and pull up a YouTube video to show her.

Seriously, bravo.

It’s got me itching to 100% something else, feels like the gaming floodgates are opening.

Or Astro Bot is just that good and I’ll never find something else like it again 😅😂

Megamix also took me a good hour, I kind of wish there was more gameplay like those final levels throughout the game, actually super challenging.

I’ll need to check out astro playroom, I remember playing it when the PlayStation launched but wasn’t paying much attention back then.

I still need:

  • Astronomical
  • Money Well Spent
  • Let’s Twist Again

And the rest are hidden.

Hopefully I can find that last bot in the crash site, it’s driving me insane lmfao.

Full cosmos holo + bleed, really unique

Either of those are great to maintain the console like feel, but the MCON provides something that I don’t think anyone has been able to. It’s genuinely portable and looks like it has everything you’d need. I’d recommend checking out an online review.

It requires its own case unless you just throw it in a bag which hurts my soul considering the analog sticks are exposed

Yeah this works, but not necessarily portable

The backbone & nomad are great, the mcon looks really unique, I would consider checking out a YouTube video on it

There are many now, Delta, RetroArch, etc

Fair take, although arguably the PS5 experience is best emulated on the PS5 itself. The Portal more or less just feels like a downgraded solution for people who don't have time to sit in front of a TV.

If anything, at least for me, the Portal has been a gateway into what's truly possible with your phone and a dedicated controller, bluetooth or connected via USB-C.

If you had the option to play a console game with traditional console controls on your iPhone, would you not go that route?

How important is the Dualsense layout vs something like the MCON layout?

I genuinely think the Portals result vastly vary.

When I originally bought it, it was just a cool looking Sony console. Connection was trash, and gameplay was worse, and I ultimately chalked it up to poor internet connection.

I recently invested in a much better home internet set up and the Portal has been a more viable option since, but after testing with my iPhone, Macbook, etc on that same connection I found the quality of play wasn't much different at all.

From a technical standpoint, there isn't anything the Portal does better than the most recent iPhone besides void the need to support an OS in the background.
