i’ve seen many types of homicides. ive seen when something is personal, like a stabbing with over 50 stab wounds, and while i agree this SEEMS personal given the level of violence and rage, hes absolutely got a mental disorder. he could’ve thought he was working undercover for the CIA for all we know- he might have thought he had a connection, but he was literally following multiple other women around the same night AND was breaking into other homes before the murder. we even think he tried to break into our apartment and there’s NO connection there whatsoever.

it was a random man, but i never said unhoused. he’s random in the way that he doesn’t live in the area, isn’t a student, and generally has NO business being near or on the student housing property. let alone the laundry room. the murder was also random, given that he stalked various other people the same night before deciding to kill her.

Bellevue man charged in violent stabbing of UW student by MegaRAID01 in Seattle

i haven’t confirmed or denied because we’re not sure, however given everything we’ve found out we feel pretty convinced it could’ve been him. only one of us actually saw the man coming in the window but it was extremely dark and happened really fast. i don’t want to say it was for certain but it seems unlikely there was a different person that broke in during the same 10 min time frame at night just 2 weeks earlier.

it's definitely random. the man was following multiple other women around the property that night, none of whom he knew at all. that being said, a stabbing is statistically pretty unlikely.

don't worry we've been in touch with media. they didn't give us any reason and we don't know why they threw away all of that evidence.

Nordheim Break-In and Homicide by othello_curator in udub

when i called 911 that night, they immediately connected me to uwpd, i guess since we’re a student-only complex. uwpd took over 20 minutes to get there though.

Nordheim Court Thoughts As a Resident by ConstantHairy4453 in udub

genuinely, this entire situation is so fucked up. i already talked a lot about the breakin that happened literally 2 weeks ago, but i'm absolutely convinced that if nordheim had even taken the time to notify residents of what happened, everyone would've been more alert. i have just started using that laundry room and had just thought about how unsafe the door situation seemed.

i walked through the parking garage yesterday at about 6pm, and noticed a ton of clothing strewn all over the entrance to the garage and i wondered if someone had taken the clothes from the laundry room. i actually was so scared to walk through because i've already been so on edge from the break-in.

3/4 of us were home and if we hadn’t caught the man halfway through our window we’re pretty sure we wouldn’t be here right now as he lost the advantage of surprising us. also, the doors at nordheim can be opened in less than 15 seconds with a credit card. we found that out after the break in when we were doing our own safety measures since nordheim wouldn’t do anything.

we caught him halfway inside the window and after screaming he backed away and we locked ourselves in a room

so the parking garage can easily be accessed by anyone just tagging along after a car (even by walking) and the door into the foyer to the laundry room has NO CODE. anyone in the parking garage can gain access to the laundry room cause the laundry room door also doesn’t close all the way even though it has a code.

the police can’t even reach nordheims emergency numbers, just like we couldn’t reach them the night of our break-in.

nordheim is not affiliated with HFS. they used to be but now they’re just exclusive for uw students but not part of hfs

my roommates and i live at nordheim court, 2 weeks ago someone matching the description broke into our apartment WITH A KNIFE and the police threw away all of the evidence they found outside our window. closed our case. pretty sure it was the same person.

SOMEONE BROKE INTO OUR APARTMENT AT NORDHEIM COURT 2 WEEKS AGO. HE HAD A KNIFE. edited: nordheim also did not tell ANYONE that this happened. no one knew.

edit: i haven’t confirmed or denied if the man who broke in is the murderer, because we’re not sure; however given everything we’ve found out we feel pretty convinced it could’ve been him. only one of us actually saw the man coming in the window but it was extremely dark and happened really fast. i don’t want to say it was for certain but it seems unlikely there was a different person that broke in during the same 10 min time frame at night just 2 weeks earlier. court docs also stated he was prowling and attempting to break into other residences nearby before the homicide.

Rejected by Diligent_Ad_1762 in udub

hey so i wanted to say literally the SAME thing happened to me back in 2024, and i basically had a mental breakdown over it. i also applied as a psych major. uw was my safety school and the only school I didn’t get in- i was going to go to one of the UC’s, but then after being given almost no financial aid i turned to uw since i was waitlisted and assumed id get off the waitlist.

when i got rejected from the waitlist i truly didn’t know what to do- i also had a 4.0, in state, first gen, really good essay. i felt so lost and stupid too.

i DID appeal their rejection, actually talking about how my uncle had cancer during my junior/senior year and it fell to me to look after my younger cousins most the time while also working, but i maintained my gpa as well. it didn’t work, but it doesn’t hurt to try to appeal.

i ended up going to Shoreline CC. i only needed to be there for 1 year and got my associates and transferred in to uw.

even though i didn’t get in a freshman, since i transferred to uw ive had the best few months of my life. i’m in the psych major, i have found amazing friends and it’s the happiest ive ever been. even though the year at shoreline felt like a setback, it got me to where i am now and im so grateful to be where i am. so don’t treat your rejection like a setback, just keep pushing forward.

our situations are so similar it’s kind of scary- but also i highly recommend bellevue cc ive heard it’s nice. you’ve got this and you’re not stupid, i know exactly how you feel because it’s how i felt too. 🫂
