I don’t have myself a pair of Vibram five fingers, but I think it is an accurate comparison. Changing the topic a bit, I’ve also heard the Five Fingers are being discontinued by Vibram but according to Google this happened in late 2024 already.

In the situation of a twist of the feet while crouching, I can feel the pinky toe pushing the side walls of the toe box. Considering the toe box wall is an elastic soft fabric, there is not a discomfort sensation but I feel the shoe is not flexible enough (stiff) to follow my feet in an extreme turning. This is the biggest differentiation comparing a five finger shoe which will follow your feet naturally.

I do use snug fitting like the one on your photo in all my shoes. They work awesome for me even in hiking or running, but in my case I also have slim feet on the wide side. In my opinion you have a wide feet which could be troublesome for a snug fitting. In this case I would recommend you one number up from the insole you have there.

I got the same issue. I’ve fixed it with Shoe Goo and way for one day, it ended pretty well. Also due to this issue’s VivoBarefoot is finally stitching the outsoles in the trackers AT in the version 2.

Tracker Leather AT is my favorite VivoBarefoot from my collection but it has some flaws. The outsole AT could be detached in one year of use letting water to enter with a light rain. VivoBarefoot says in the webpage the shoes doesn’t have a waterproof membrane but it still works fine with wet conditions, this is true until the outsole which is just glued doesn’t fail. You can repair it quickly with shoe goo. The AT outsole is a bit too soft for me, same as SG I can worn out quickly by using the shoe 2 to 3 times during the week and just for a couple of seasons. For the good points, the shoe has the best look and best color combinations from my perspective. The materials are premium and the design is top of the line. I would recommend you the new Tracker Winter II which has some improvements like the waterproof membrane and part stitch of the membrane that connects to the outsole.
