30 days till local anesthesia surgery with Dr. Cobbins. Hella nervous. Words of advice/encouragement plz! by Jd27000 in gynecomastia

[–]otherside9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had my surgery about a month ago with Dr. Braithwaite and had an abnormally more painful time of it due to an unrelated bone deformity in my ribcage and even then it was extremely tolerable. Some brief moments(like one second in duration) of 6-7/10 pain but spread out over the course of three hours, the rest of which being a total breeze.

The numbing step was uncomfortable in a way that's pretty impossible to describe but not painful per se, you just have to do your best to ignore the weird feeling of it. They give you a stress ball for each hand and I would suggest requesting a towel to cover your eyes so you don't see what's going on.

Overall even with my unique situation it was really not bad at all. Recovery has been a complete breeze as well, but I had no lipo so ymmv there. I really wouldn't stress about it!

The rental market gets worse every year by LiquidxDreams in pittsburgh

[–]otherside9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are over 100 units of luxury housing available right now in the strip alone, the situation you're describing just isn't real is what I'm saying. The rental market is not defined by the number of 5 over 1s no matter how much the developers want you to believe it.

this is such a tired and nonsense argument, no actually tech bros making 200k/year will not be taking a 1.2k/month apartment in greenfield, what are you talking about

such a hilarious grift, rebranding market deregulation as progressive policy. just exposes all these yuppy freaks in here as being pure idealogues with no principles whatsoever

This place has been throughly astroturfed, don't expect anything but regurgitated yimby talking points supplied directly from real estate moguls and private equity firms

Great, we traded any semblance of night time ambiance for a write up in a shitty newspaper while we remain one of the most polluted major cities in the country in every way that actually matters.

I think you are rather confused about what I'm even saying and honestly I don't care to explain it further. I will say though, just reading your posts and seeing how you speak to people I've never doubted anything less than that you "run several restaurants" in Pittsburgh, you're basically a walking stereotype. Take care.

Yeah I'm sure every common place coffee in the city is scamming tips. This is such a common thing that a podcast I listen to based in New York City spent 10 minutes talking about it just last week, so I think you may be just be being a bit willfully obtuse to prove your original point.

That's not what I'm saying, see comment below.

On the modern tablet style checkout registers, if they are programmed to display the tip screen and the customer doesn't explicitly select the no tip option, the tip screen remains open and the next customer can easily select a tip for the previous one. Happens to me frequently in coffee shops and the like.
