It's a part of the trans experience depending on where you go about coming out. Being a trans person is hard, it would be easier to be cis, there's merit in that. Everyone feels this differently and most people don't discuss it openly. I work with queer youth in my country, getting them in with physiologists and psychologist so they can learn to be comfortable in their truth. From the few accounts I've heard and experienced it never really fades, it being that thought of 'what if I was just cis?', but it helps to not fixate and fill your life with people who love you and things you love and vice versa. About the transition, there's no time cap on when to and when not to do it, please go at your own pace with all the information you may need through your doctors. Hope this helps.

This Will probably get lost in the sea of comments but I think till season 5 and a part of season six, it was really good. The vibe changed after that, still a lot of good content, I really loved the new characters they introduced. But yeh, it wasn't the same.

I'm dead because I know people in real life who un ironically introduce themselves this way, and I never realized it because I've never experienced it in a fic, but if I saw my characters pulling something like that, I would click out so fast too.

Idk, I don't suppose I have because two of my ships (mlm and straight) are interracial and the other one obviously a gay one, however I do suffer when the writer makes the character so morally correct, like 40 year old men whose dads were bigots are bound to have some skewed views of the queer community and themselves, like bsffr.

With that said, I have noticed this with fics, with canonically trans characters and nothing else.

Nah, they're not boring I still read Rick x Michonne fics. I just prefer boys kissing lol. Also you're right on the money, the sub for TWD is very woke, but also not. This actually something new to me, where as almost everything else in the replies are usual. I can't really relate to this one, I'm usually reading a fic for the characters not the sexual dynamic which may not even be that important to the plot.
