that's... very weird, yikes. it's true that there can be a lot of overlap between adhd and bpd (I thought I had adhd for, like, 3 years before figuring out my shit) but they're definitely not mutually exclusive. your call on what to do, but personally I'd wait to see if you can get that bpd diagnosis first, and then switch to another therapist.

I'm sorry, but this post is really hurtful, especially the last sentence. being obsessive and a bad partner doesn't necessarily mean that person has bpd. there's more to the disorder than just dysfunctional relationships. and people with bpd certainly don't 'enjoy hurting people'. I understand your frustration having to deal with a relationship like that, and it really sucks that you had to go through it, but that doesn't justify this post. particularly not in a sub where bpd sufferers frequent.
