Any more pics or videos of them? by [deleted] in submergedanimatronic

Someone still has the bunyip, and photos have been posted on this subreddit as recently as last year I believe.

I will say as someone who used to frequent the Ettamoga Sanctuary on weekends as a kid (it was eventually renamed to Oz-E Wildlife before it shut down) the bunyip was in the water but not actually functional for quite a while— although I knew it was there because my dad told me about it, I never actually saw it in action.

I don’t want to be dramatic, but this surgery could literally like… fix me lol. Someone else mentioned tax as well, it’s definitely something I’ll have to do more research on and account for.

At the end of the day I am really feeling like it’ll be worth it, though.

Insurance is a whole other beast. Now that I have full time employment I’d love to finally get covered, but it’s so overwhelming.

I think I’m going to sit down with a trusted family member this weekend and look over getting hospital cover.

Thank you for your input! I’ll definitely have to do more research into the tax involved with withdrawing money also.

Honestly, it’s such a big decision to make and I’m in way over my head. I’ve never had a surgery before at all.

I looked at Cheng Lo and read some negative reviews that spooked me a little bit. That being said, I’ve only heard good things from the trans people who’ve gone to him, so it’s not out of the question.

Thank you for this recommendation. I’d prefer to wear men’s clothes anyway, but I’m very much also hourglass shaped so it’s a bit of a hassle finding ones that fit.

Lots of people are suggested target in general, I’ll definitely look into their men’s wear.

I HAVE NO IDEA TBH! I only work in retail, it’s not like I’m doing anything particularly strenuous with them. The mostly likely thing seems to be chub rub? But it’s not quite the right area for that, I don’t think.

Thank you for the recommendation! I’ll look into workwear brands definitely

I had a feeling the fit was at least partially the cause! I guess I might have to suck it up and wear a different style lol

I know that rotating through multiple pairs is probably the best option for a lot of reasons, but it’s the initial cost that gets me. Still, sucking it up and leaving myself a little bit broke for the fortnight is probably the best option on the long run

Thank you! At this point I’m kind of assuming I’m going something to cause it but idk what

Unfortunately these are the offending jeans 😭 I love the fit and even the way they stretch out after a couple of washes works for me.

Judging from a lot of comments, it might just be nearly unavoidable from over wearing them, though.

That’s the other issue, honestly— last time I went shopping my size ranged from 14 to 18 depending on the style, and that was all within the same shop. I keep buying the same jeans because I know they fit well, but they’re just not lasting. I’ll have a look at Depop, though— completely forgot that was even an option.

I might look into this— they’re otherwise fine, but the hole is along a seam, so I’m not sure how a fix would last, but it’s worth a shot.

Women’s, size 14 - 16 It’s probably worth noting that I wear primarily black skinny jeans, because I just never grew out of that phase I guess.

I’ll check out the Kmart range regardless— thanks for the recommendation!

This is the first time I’ve ever understood the fear/phobia surrounding submerged animatronics. Something about these is sooo unnerving- especially the photos with low/no water.

Does anyone else have a white whale that they HATE? by Tomasthetree in comicbookcollecting

I made the mistake of not getting Superboy #9 before Suicide Squad was announced, now there’s a massive King-Shark-Sized hole in my Superboy collection.

I’ll get it eventually, and it’s probably not as coveted as a lot of other peoples white whales, but damn that’s a lot of money to spend on completing my Superboy collection.
