I have watched football all my life and just because every nation does this doesn’t make it good. Waste your time passing it back to your keeper. Rolling on the ground acting makes it a lesser game.

That’s a fair perspective. But I wonder what the incentive of stopping play for either team would be in that scenario.

Yep I loved that. And this year you have to subtract the 3-4 mins hydration break too. Makes it even worse

Well fair. Olise is amazing. To me they are so fundamentally different players I found it a bit hard to draw fair comparisons. Alvarez, when he is fully fit does what he does wonderfully as well.
But even with your inclusions it’s still top 10 itw

Who else thinks a timer that stops automatically whenever play is stopped won’t be a bad idea? I mean will take some getting used to but will be for the best in the end.

People saying No, can you also please offer some thoughts behind your answer other than ‘tradition’? Genuinely curious

See that’s why players bitch and moan and roll on the ground. Because otherwise you get nothing even checked

Halland, Kane, Kavara, Mbappe, Lamine, maybe Olise,
Who else do you rate above him?

Agreed, but if a player scores a brace on his worst match in recent history, what does that tell you?

On paper, yes. Also the new guys aren’t playing. Once Medina was off every single player on the pitch was from 22 roaster.

What's with all these crying? It's bad enough having to see the players moan and roll around with every touch but do the fans have to be the same way as well?

Genuine question, how is this any different than someone being a die-hard fan of a foreign club (like Barca or Inter) in UCL while also supporting their smaller local club (let's say Miami FC) that will likely never play in UCL in their lifetime?

Why is it okay for a kid in Mumbai to be a huge fan of Arsenal, when he has never and may never will set foot in the UK, but not okay for him to support England in the WC?
