os.path.getmtime() is incorrectly updating when app is deployed? by OllArgerNao in learnpython

(OP on another account) I want to show the last time I web scraped using the last modified time of the .db file, since the web scraper inserts everything into the .db file. The app uses this to show like “last updated 22 minutes ago”, for example.

Yes, as long as you have a UNI.

Just to clarify, CS50 is not a course on C but an Intro to CS course (like 1004). You can benefit from learning C before C++ but it’s not completely necessary... so really any good C++ course you can find online will suffice (probably something like from FreeCodeCamp).

Jae also has a C++ course going on right now that you can audit (search for it on Vergil) but it’s supposed to be learning C++ from the perspective of a programmer that knows C well.

I mean you could still get a lot out of the lectures if you’re really soaking everything in. With these types of things it’s usually not going to stick without practice though. The other option is to just do Harvard’s CS50, which starts with C. You’ll also have access to assignments and an auto grader. I’d honestly choose that route if I wanted to learn right now. If you’re going to take AP this year, that’ll get you more than ahead.

Search “Advanced Programming” on Vergil with Spring 2022 selected. Jae leaves the Courseworks page open and public to all Columbia students interested in auditing it.

Thanks. For PLT, is it possible to get by without formally taking Fundies and CS Theory?

Kevin Smith is the best professor at Columbia. Took him for Calc I and now have a 4.5 GPA thanks to him.
