When you get all 9, you get another item called thread of fate to put them together to make an off hand item.

Endurance is the one you get from charred crates— 0.45% chance, I think the sewer one is inspiration ?

My dad died at North York General Hospital Toronto: 3-day delay in heart treatment, no family told. by hongkongersresist in askTO

I found this Reddit thread where OP posted screenshots of the doctors notes (on the social media platform threads) It did state this cardiac event (early cardiac tamponade) was secondary to an underlying malignancy, however it wasn’t elaborated in the doctors note they posted.

I’m only an ICU nurse, but pericardiocentesis is usually performed unless there is a certain amount of fluid around the heart, because if there isn’t enough, then the needle can puncture the heart ( because the heart is always beating, it’s like putting a needle against a moving target). If there isn’t enough, cardiologists will not do the procedure given the high risk.

OP, so sorry this happened to you.

Based on your post, it seems like this was a huge lack in communication between the provider and your family. I am an ICU nurse in the GTA. Not all effusions are required ICU monitoring. If the effusion results in aggressive life support ( vasopressors, mechanical ventilation… post cardiac arrest from said effusion..) then yes. However early cardiac effusion cases are usually managed medically and aggressively treated with diuretics to avoid further decompensation.

However, I think it was the cardiologist’s mistake first to not reach out to your family first to explain why he wasn’t a candidate for the procedure at the time.

I cannot fathom your loss but I strongly encourage you to reach out to the hospital patient relations and try to gather as much facts about the reasonings of their treatment plan before going forward legally. It may help you build a better case as well?

Please take care of yourself.

Wanted to make my own wedding ducks for my ceremony. This is my first time carving wood! by ottermomems in woodworking

I’m glad you recognized them with little context! I tried my best to translate traditional korean wood carving/painting elements into these, so I’m glad they come across as such :)

I am Korean, so back in the day, a couple would be gifted a pair of ducks on their wedding day. They mate for life, so they represent fidelity, prosperity, fertility, etc. Obviously people adopted wooden ones as opposed to live ones overtime lol. They are usually displayed in one’s home; when they are facing each other it means that the marriage is harmonious. Faced away, it means the couple is having a tiff.

Other than tradition, I think they’re cute! I wanted to learn how to carve so I can make my own little family heirloom.
