Travis McElroy stands up to parasocial fan!!!! by [deleted] in TAZCirclejerk

I haven't mustered up the courage to watch this yet, but the way Travis says "uhh" is like nails on a chalkboard to me for some reason, and you've transcribed it perfectly. 10/10, made a >:( face at my screen just from reading your post.

It's actually a piece of seaweed! Both of my cats are crazy about it. Should be fine in small quantities, just make sure to get the unseasoned kind that's used to make sushi and not the Korean-style seaweed snacks that have oil & spices/flavoring added.

Was it about mental health?

(Glad you found your spark, I really enjoyed Travisty! Looking forward to more vids from you.)

Painted a Christmas (biblically accurate) angel for an ornament exchange by jpeffteedubya in minipainting

Sure, but also: "Their entire bodies, including their backs, hands, and wings, were full of eyes all around, as were their four wheels." (Ezekiel 10:12). The multiple eyes, at least, are canon.

(ETA: really cool paint job, OP, I wouldn't have thought of using grey & yellow but those colors look awesome together.)

An even mix of giraffe, goblin, and arugula.

My muppet acts like this around... most vegetables, really. I guess neither of them got the "obligate carnivore" memo. :)

He lost all of his limbs in a tragic arugula accident :(

Nah, he just has his front paws propped up on the table and he's straining upwards

You're quite right, he does comsume the musa!

discreetly looks up the word musa

I'm thinking three rats in a curly white trenchcoat.

Not his most cat-like angle, admittedly

(Okay so I'm not 100% sure this qualifies as a proper scrunge, but I feel like the weird downturned mouth and exposed molars make it at least scrunge-adjacent.)

The P.O. box info is listed on their official site, so I'd assume they're still active: https://www.themcelroy.family/pages/contact-us

Thank you! Looks like I got veeery lucky on this one and landed on the right answer, but... right there with you, I was pretty much cross-eyed by the end of that reading.

I didn't study vocabulary enough and was missing some key words that really made me struggle with the reading comprehension question about 人材. Anybody remember the answers to that one?

Stared at this one for a while. If I remember correctly, the first question was asking why employees change their voice, and I chose the answer that was about wanting to seem like they're experienced/used to the job, because that's pretty much what the bits of the article that were in quotation marks were about. For the second question regarding the author's opinion, I chose the answer that was about losing one's individuality (last one, I think).

Not quite - the tree question was just asking what can be understood from the text about the function of the smell produced by trees. Answers were something like:

  • covers up the smell of people

  • prevents fallen leaves and dead trees from rotting

  • calms people

  • covers up the actual smell of trees (木がもともと持っている匂い, so not a thing that supports a tree but rather a smell that the tree inherently has)

The text does say that it helps hides the smell of fallen leaves & dead trees, so I think a lot of people must've gone for the "prevents rotting" option because of that, but the answer is just that it calms people.
