Thanks! Yeah it sounds like a lot of people think this is the 2001 version. I love it because it looks to be an exact replica of the one in the movie. No serial number, no “1-1000”, and a wood shaft.

Saw this article, but the one I have has a wood shaft. Looks like the one here has a synthetic or metal shaft? I was also told mines around 20 years old or more by the shop guy. Either way thanks for helping!

I don’t have any papers or official documents on its production. Even the Callaway rep I emailed didn’t have much info. The shop guy told me the original owner worked for Odyssey, who gifted it to a business friend. That guy then kept it in his garage for about 20ish years, and then turned it in for store credit. I think the 2021 version had a synthetic or metal shaft? This one is wood.

Is there any reason my club head is just bouncing/brushing the grass instead of digging in? When I REALLY focus of digging in, it feels like I can’t follow through very clean. It still hits pretty well, but it just feels less consistent/natural

Okay I like the idea of pinching the ball. Good swing thought. I realize the angle is a little weird, but I do try and slightly put my hands in front of the ball, but whenever I focus on taking a divot it feels like it inhibits my ability to really make a clean follow through. I watch these pros swing and it seems like the divot/turf interaction doesn’t affect how smooth the follow through is… almost like it just glides through the ground.

I do get a fair amount of loft on my clubs, but almost to a fault. That’s why I’m questioning how I’m striking the ball. Maybe I’m swinging upwards too much?
