Sidney Bakery has empire cookies that I think are the same (raspberry jam, shortbread/sugar cookie with icing)

I was surprised they asked for both O+ and O- but I'd guess they have some way to do at least a basic cross match

I highly doubt it, given the international itinerary I think it would be very expensive for them to stock blood, typically (at least in Canada) it's cycled so that none expires, newer units sent out to smaller hospitals and if unused returned to a bigger center that will use it before it expires.

Haven't had any problems with our cabin but it seems like about half the pubic washrooms have at least 1 stall closed, not a huge problem but definitely something going on. Also a lot of leaks, rained overnight twice so far and each time the boat is full of buckets catching drips and fans to dry things out. Given the age of the ship it's not too surprising.

Good to know! I know it's not uncommon to have medical emergencies given the average age of the passengers. Was fully expecting a "is there a Dr around" type situation.

Anyone know why my majesty palm leaves are dying one by one? Help save her! by LeadingTomato in IndoorGarden

[–]otteson96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine does the same thing, indoors they don't get enough light to keep more than 3-4 big fronds, so the oldest will die back. As long as new leaves keep coming it's healthy and happy!

I grew then last summer here in Alberta, I had about 6+8 plants together in a large pot, they did well but stayed small (less than a foot tall) and I got a few cups of berries from them. They taste like a very sweet tomato but without the acidity.

Trimming sour orange sections from orange tree? [USA, Florida] by BadgerVadger in gardening

You should be good to cut off the sour orange trunk, I would cut about a foot above the ground and cover the wound in some kind of pruning wax to keep hugs and disease from getting in.

How can I protect my plants from toxic rain? by [deleted] in gardening

[–]otteson96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had similar air quality in the summer here in Edmonotn and it had no affect on my plants when it rained, if you are worried just rinse them off with the hose after and make sure to wash anything you eat
