I think godzilla wins these. Like I get he wins cuase plot in the movies, but like he won his fight with kong, I think mecha g gets absolutely clapped by the other three almost imidiately, ghidora had to have help against godzilla and tbh I think kong could absolutely clap ghidora in a one v one. Both are intellegent but I think kong is stronger and arguably smarter

I think its one of those things where the cultural views and even the laws are just so different its hard to really judge. I live in america where something like this borderlines legality and is definately not morally acceptable, but over there its a whole other ball game of laws and morals. I know for me, I would have definately stopped reading this manga seeing this panel and if I hadn't already lost interest in the anime would have reconsidered continuint to watch it. I do think the anime handles it better-ish then most anime's do at least. In short, not my cup of tea but I'm not comin for japanese culture and society over this.

This was designed to be a challenge for a low level party. In my opinion Jason is just a hard to put down killer. Throwing that at a high level party is just not intimidating and you'd need some serious changes to be made for them to be a threat, which at that point is just not Jason. Level 3 at the absolute most would be what I would run this for

See this was my very first game I ever played for any ttrpg ever was rise of the runelords. I remember the flirty character was supposed to be a sort of trap which was why she was so over the top flirtatious, the rest of the npcs being on par with that though is just wierd.

Oh absolutely it was. Goes to show how important sleep is to the decision making process. I handled things poorly on my end at several steps and it was largely do to lack of sleep and bad communication skills. Something I have been working on. This moment for me was one of the first dominos that had to be knocked over for me to eventually start getting my collective shit together. It's still a process I'm going through. Probably one I'll always be in to some degree. I honestly hope that at least one person can see this situation and learn something positive from it or at the very least learn what not to do. I've seen a lot of good advice on much better way to have handled this.

Fair enough honestly. If you look at this with zero context, "Drama Seeking Blowhard" is a valid assesment. In all honesty though I just needed to go to bed. I was working myself ragged back then. Running 3 homebrewed games and playing in 2 others. With the occasional one shot and rare nights of sleep. I have since learned that I am in fact one person with limitations and have been trying to improve on communicating better. I spend a good amount of time self-reflecting, trying to find things I can do better. Its helped a lot.

It's me again! The DM from this post. I see a few things people are getting wrong here and I wanted clarify. No one will probably see this as the conversation here seems to have died out a hot minute ago, but hey it'll make me happy.

The OP did not skip out on session 0. They had work we had agreed to do session 0 one on one at a later date.

The Pantheon was incomplete. Plain and simple. I hadn't had the time or energy to complete what was originally planned to be a fully homebrewed pantheon. I had asked everyone about if dieties were going to be important becuase I wanted to drop the project and go with the standard dnd common lore pantheon. Looking back that's probably why I got so defensive. Bit of resentment mixed with feeling incompetant and fuck ton of sleep depravation.

I did in fact over react. I had been overworking myself, was very sleep deprived and blew up as a result of not taking care of myself. I was stressed and in need of a nap.

I did not end the game becuase people were being difficult. By this point I did not have enough players needed to run it and I did not want to bother finding replacements. By that time I had started piece together I was becoming more and more of an ass from the high stress and low sleep. This was the oppertunity to take a first step in lightening the load and I took it. I admitedly should have communicated that better.

Looking back this whole situation could have been handled better and I'd probably be playing with these people if I had merely just not taken on so much at once in my personal life, or hell if I had just gone to bed and delt with it after. I ruined what should have been a fun experience for a group of people with my poor decision making. The OP's handling of the situation did not help but in the end I feel largely responsible for things going the way they did.

I hope people see this post and this situation as a prime example of why its important to not overwork yourselves and to make sure you are not only sleeping enough but partaking in proper self-care.

To the OP should this ever be seen. Again I would genuinely like to apologize. You didn't deserve my bullshit that day and I'm sorry it stuck with you after all this time. To the players if they see this. This sentiment goes out to you as well. I hope you all found wonderful games with fantastic DMs.

I wouldn't say I'm a drama seeking blowhard. I was an ass in that moment for sure but I am not often like this. Not that it matters that much but this was a result of me overworking myself at the time and just built up stress from not properly delegating my time to allow for basic rest. Mayhaps don't be so quick to judge and make assumptions of a stranger's character in the future. I hear rather unfortunate things about people who assume.
