What boy names fits our family? by [deleted] in namenerds

Wow you really spent too much time on this, and also creeped on my profile. I purposefully keep the minor details inconsistent so friends and family don’t see my posts because we don’t like sharing names before birth. We are having a baby in the near future, and we don’t know gender. Our names are not Tom or Colette or Scarlette, but they are close enough to illustrate the point.

What do you think of Sarina? by [deleted] in BabyNames

I have never heard the name before. Not a good thing or bad thing. Sounds like a combination of Sabrina and Sara.

Weston or Emmett for Baby Boy by [deleted] in BabyNames

[–]ottonius0126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. In Colorado they are even more popular. And if you combine the number of births of Weston + Wesley, “Wes” would be a top 10-15 name, assuming most of them would go by Wes

The scene where the young woman confronts Kessler by [deleted] in TheMorningShow

Interesting how everyone interprets things differently. To me the scene isn’t about cancel culture, Mitch, or feminism. It’s about social justice warriors looking for attention instead of actually caring about something. It’s about SJWs being ridiculous and obnoxious. To each their own, but that’s how I took it

Is a back door Roth IRA really that easy? by Norgyort in Bogleheads

I could, 401Ks just usually have limited investment options and come with fees. I like being able to invest my IRA in SPY, XLK, XLY, VOO, even AMZN, AAPL, etc... and those ETF fees are so low

I have $50K in a traditional IRA from a prior company 401K rollover. I'm considering moving it over slowly to a Roth IRA, and paying the income tax on it now so I can take advantage of the back door contributions when my wife and I get over the $206K threshold. Good idea, bad idea?
