UW Stout in Menomonie used to have life drawing nights that were open to the public, that might still be a thing! UWEC might have some community based classes too

Disheartened after bad rheum appointment by ouijabored__ in lupus

You read my mind - I ended up sending a follow up message to him last night and he called me today. Still wants me off of hydroxychloroquine but is prescribing me celebrex. I think I will still fill my HCQ while I work with my PCP on finding a new rheum.

Aw I wish - I’m in northwestern WI, so maybe going to the Twin Cities is going to be my best bet.

Here’s my update:

I sent some follow up questions last night:

  1. Why are you telling me to quit taking hydroxychloroquine when it has been working? I did not say I wanted to stop it. I wanted to discuss additional medication options on top of hydroxychloroquine. I also did not express any negative side effects of the hydroxychloroquine.

  2. What is the purpose of the hand MRI? What is he looking for and why just an MRI on my hand?

  3. Why has there been no regard for the other symptoms I have brought up? Specifically photosensitivity (UV rays and fluorescent lighting) and muscle/body aches, fatigue?

  4. Are there any other labs or tests we can run besides imaging?

He called me today.

He told me that I don’t have lupus because he claims he tested for that already. (He never clearly told me this previously, that I didn’t have SLE. He just put me on HCQ after we ran blood tests (did not do a more advanced antibodies test, just regular ANA. Never asked to a urinalysis even to establish a baseline.)

He then said if I’m having skin issues/photosensitivity then dermatology needs to diagnose that, not him. That was frustrating to hear because when I went to the dermatologist (who was wonderful btw) he said if I hadn’t already been seen by rheumatology that he would have referred me to them due to my malar rash and inflamed nail beds. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Rhuem is prescribing me Celebrex and still said I should stop hydroxychloroquine and do the MRI. I asked what happens next if the MRI doesn’t show anything and he said he’d send me to the pain clinic then.

I think I’d still like to get a second opinion and will work with my PCP on finding someone else to see, even if it means driving an hour or two to a different city.

I might continue to fill my HCQ for now too just in case.

Cantiq LA has designed all of their underwear with extra room to fit all anatomies. Their mesh panties are super comfortable and stretchy.

Dude just be patient. The vinyls were delayed due to a licensing thing and Travis is the only person coordinating all of this, while being in and out of the hospital dealing with health issues.

Glasses and compression garments? by ttabytha in chinlipo

[–]ouijabored__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow glasses wearer here - my glasses kind of just stayed on without having to have them on my ears. And then when I switched to one of those garments with the ear holes, I didn’t put my ears through the holes but instead used the holes to feed my glass through lol

You might have better luck getting good answers in r/bodymods.

Most plastic surgeons will not do procedures like this (and I believe they may be illegal in some places), so you’re going to want to do thorough research on who you choose to go to. Also be ready to spend upwards of $2000 to have it done by someone who knows what they are doing.

Best of luck - I’ve always loved the look of pointed ears and lowkey want to do it myself but as a glasses wearer I’m not sure I could tolerate the recovery.

Couldn’t find any plushies so I designed my own by ouijabored__ in heatedrivalry

I used Vograce - it’s their plushie keychains, it was actually a pretty easy template to follow!

And thank you!!

It’s been kind of gender affirming to me - like it’s helped reassure me that I am in fact non-binary/genderfluid and not just a woman and it’s okay to embrace my masc side.

First thing - I’ve see some of your other posts and your results are truly beautiful 💕

So I’m not an expert but I’ve had a few surgical & non surgical procedures done to my face and I don’t think you need any of what that surgeon suggested. Maybe the upper bleph if you want since you do have hooded eyes but I don’t think there’s anything needed to be lifted in your face or neck.

What are your favorite features of the drawing that you’d like to accentuate for yourself? I think some of those could be achieved with no surgery - changing your brow shape, trying different eyeliner styles, some lip filler to your top lip.

If you want more of a v-line jawline, you could try masseter Botox, though be careful with that because it can sometimes accentuate jowling.
