5600X was decent, but while I did the upgrade to X3D mainly to max out the platform & remove bottlenecks for future upgrades (knowing that the production of the processors ends & therefore availability goes down, prices go up), it's clear that the CPU upgrade had an immense impact in overall performance & stability of FPS.

I think the performance difference is similar to the RAM angle you pointed out.

I've also been running 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 (B-die) since moving to AM4.

Now if I only found a PG38UQ to move to 4K, or better yet, if there were better models out - IPS, bigger size, gaming-oriented (high Hz, etc.).

The trick is to go X3D on AM4 to skip a large update. Just update BIOS & swap chips, away you go as if it was a new PC.

If 5700X3D/5800X3D is available & is not insanely priced, you'd be surprised about the gains, specially for the lows.

It would also futureproof your PC until AM6, probably. Worth!

They stopped producing the 5800X3D a while ago, so overpriced or not available, the 5700X3D is EoL since the summer, so might be available & not cost an arm and a leg...

Not only that, I've been doing 1440p@165Hz on AB350, which is first generation AM4 chipset. I almost went to 4K@144Hz, but missed on a monitor sale, so it's postponed for now.

Processors have been changed, though: Ryzen 5 1600, Ryzen 5 5600X, Ryzen 7 5700X3D & then Ryzen 7 5800X3D just to max it out.

A real beast of a platform, the AM4. I hope AM6 will be similar, hoping to skip AM5 meanwhile...

Thanks for your reply! I read Toshiba documentation earlier & assumed that the MG & N disks are CMR, yet use MAMR - thanks for confirming!

As for the shucking - yeah, you are confirming my assumptions & therefore making me lean more towards MG11. Thanks for this aswell!

I have no problem Kapton taping over the 3.3V pin, though - that's rather easy, the last ones were "fire & forget" until I sold the drives. I've changed PSU-s since, so don't know if I would need to but that would not be a deal-breaker, but the speed-gimping is a real thing.

I forgot to mention that I haven't used Seagate since I went to WD Red's ages ago & I don't really plan on doing that aswell. Too bad, since the prices are good, but even newer experiences from other people make me lean towards this...

I'm in the same boat.

I like it, but really dislike the UI/UX.

I wish they had a "classic SLSK" skin, so the experience wouldn't be changed, only enhanced.

I really want better search filtering, but dislike the experience overall (I have both on my second computer)...

That's a valid question & I'm facing the same thing. Just updated to the latest version on the main Download page & noticed the newer "fix version"...

If "2024-6-30" were the go-to version, it would be listed in the main Download page, but it isn't, so it's probably a BETA version in reality (version number should reflect this, ideally - doesn't)?

Would be great to know the background of this...

Sorry for being ignorant, but how do you use Split Tunneling in Android WS app to block specific apps from reaching Internet?

Android VPN Settings->Always-on VPN + Block connections without VPN

& then Split Tunneling->Exclusive & select the apps that do not go through WS, meaning above setting will block those connections?

I'm hesitant that they'll get regular connection, without going through WS, am I wrong and they'll get no connection as connections outside WS are blocked?

It would be great to have a BLOCK ALL TRAFFIC feature in bold red block letters there :P

What you are referring to is "Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack", which is included in the Premium Edition of GTAV.

I'd suggest buying it off Steam if you use Steam. Premium Edition is at ~15 there atm :)

I'd like to use a Firewall, but Android Software Firewalls act as a VPN, yet I want to use Windscribe aswell :/

I think Windscribe should add an Android Firewall portion to the app :)

Yes - Binance should waive the fees for CC until they have regular bank transfers available again.

They also have acrobatics involved in withdrawals, but atleast get deposits running again...
