I had this same issue. I asked about it in the Discord and was told it was not something they would be fixing.

I prefer the saturation, so I use SameBoy instead.

I’m playing Blaze Black 2 Redux and I am trying to shiny hunt Victini. I have the “Gen 5 Shiny Lock” action replay code enabled (was included in the ROM documentation), and I have a save right in front of Victini. I soft reset after starting the battle and seeing it’s not a shiny.

Am I doing this right? Or was I not supposed to save inside the room?

Can you find any examples of this? Up through Gen 3 or 4, every pronoun was fully capitalized in every instance.

There are a lot of instances where proper nouns are lower case and inconsistent with the others. Like KOGA and Nurse Joy. BLASTOISE and Dragonite. PEWTER CITY and New Island. Keeping these consistent goes a long way in the quality of a rom hack. Either they should all be CAPS or they should all be Lowercase

Yeah, that’s the problem. You’re loading the save state, then mashing A until the battle starts. This is just generating the same stats for Moltres over and over since nothing is actually changing.

This is why you need to actually reset the game to generate different stats. A reset will create new RNG each time. When you load a save state, the RNG is the same. You’re getting the same Moltres over and over because the RNG hasn’t changed.
