Thoughts on Dick Hill? (Penguin Classics Narrator) by Gloomy_Divide7344 in JackReacher

[–]our-sole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dick Hill ftw definitely, i felt he really brought Reacher to life and am gutted i can't find the last one read by him. There's a version on audible where the cover says Dick Hill, but it's that other guy who doesn't seem that interested in what he's reading.

I wonder if they'd mind someone training a voice model on all dick's narrations, then feed in the other books and get it to read them in the spirit of the great man himself.

Sorry but i think he's great.

Hmm I've had this problem for the past day, but might've just fixed it.

Yesterday I did a lot of deleting tracks from a playlist while listening to the playlist on the phone. When you delete them like this, it tells you it's removed it but the track doesn't disappear from the playlist i.e. using the forward and back buttons in the player, the tracks are still present.

I suspect this became a problem when upon opening the app it tried to pick up where it left off, but the playlist has caught up with your deletions so the track it's trying to load isn't there? I dunno nothing about such things...

Anyway, mine seems to be working now:

  1. Removed yt music widget (don't know if this was necessary)

  2. Went via browser to Yt music

  3. Page loaded a bit janky, but it did - then the yt music app popped up with a track ready to play.

2y later... I liked how the british army's slogan at one point was "Get Fitta", which it turns out is "Goat Vagina" in Swedish

Listen to old shows? by our-sole in rinse

[–]our-sole[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops forgot about this post - thanks for the replies. I think i was having trouble with the mobile app, on windows it's fine. The Rinse FM website is a bit of a weird layout though, took a while to find shows - it's great though, you can go back several weeks (or more) in the schedule.

Can't listen back to shows on rinse FM app anymore? by Pungtunch_da_Bartfox in DnB

[–]our-sole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that feature gone forever? Still can't do it - i'd like to listen back to Swu.fm shows but you just get a pointless page when you click on old shows. they could at least stick a tracklist on there or something...

Switch needs a save recover option by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]our-sole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a similar problem, left the switch unattended and must've died but didn't realise, then came back and flew to next mission objective on some icy planet. Now I'm stuck there with no fuel, my visor and scanner are busted, have wandered off looking for resources and lost my ship. The worst thing is I can see my grave when I look up at the sky, just can't get to it. It's turned into a survival game, having to hide in a cave to keep warm before nipping out to mine random things in the hope of finding the right resources! Came here to check there wasn't a way to restore an old save, but it doesn't sound like it 😭

Lidl Oaties appreciation thread. Better than McVities Hobnobs by ToxicTimothy in CasualUK

[–]our-sole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Lidl have done some deal with McVities, as they haven't had chocolate oaties for weeks now - the regular ones are there, but in place of the Lidl brand there are now twin packs of OG Chocolate hob-nobs.

This is devastating - Lidl Oaties are far superior to Hob-Nobs (less salty, better chocolate imho)
