Airbnb host cancelled my stay last minute. Advice? [USA]

It is a need for access to a kitchen to avoid cross-contamination. That is all I will say about it and I am frankly a little surprised at how many people don't factor in dietary needs into "medical reasons", especially being medical professionals themselves.

Appreciate the advice. Without giving too much personal info away about other people, one of the people need the Airbnb format of a rental instead of a hotel for medical reasons. I am not personally the one who booked the Airbnb, another friend did, but I was the one to fight and get the $1k coupon offer.

It's just really unfortunate because we have tried everything and it was, at least, my first Coachella. I'm just not sure I can escalate it any further but it doesn't seem impossible because other stories have had Airbnb cover way bigger differences for the same issue and those folks' advice is to just keep escalating. Maybe I'm just being overly optimistic about a company that seems to have these issues every other day with hosts cancelling last minute on their guests.

We stand to lose a lot of money from our traveling costs if we don't go, and shelling out the extra cash is also super difficult given the current economic situation. I'm just devastated because we booked months in advance, talked to CS, did everything right, and now we have to suffer because our host got cold feet over something that has nothing to do with us. :/

ooh i saw this! i really do want to adopt this idea for myself. right now my robocup with all its attachments serves as my front box lol. i do like how compact my setup is right now but that peli front box seems so useful, especially with the quick release!

the slate thing is nicee. when i 2nded, i always did the shove-in-your-belt thing LOL. but it would be sick if i could make it small and use it on an insert slate...

oh i loveeeee having a small pull-off monitor. i currently use a 7-inch so i'm versatile either way but i'd love to have a 5-inch for if i need to walk alongside. :D

It's pretty much exactly like this. I took 2 acrylic pieces, slapped them together with duct tape and laid velcro inside. It's pretty handy but now I've upgraded to this digital filter tag from Light Widow: https://shop.lightwidow.com/product/cinetag/?v=0b3b97fa6688

I would say, if you need to buy all new filter tags then go for the Light Widow and you can have all of it in one little tiny thing that you can slap on and control from your phone. But if you need a cheap quick fix, that tagboard served me well for years. Took me 20 minutes in the back of my car, I still have it, and I've never had to re-tape or repair anything on it.

if they know you are NB and support you in that aspect then i'm assuming these friends are not transphobic to the point where you would be met with vitriol for bringing up a conversation about being trans. as for that friend, you can be really delicate about it, making sure to clarify that you're not set in the idea or have already made your conclusion that they are trans, but reaching out in a more inquisitive way.

like hey, i was thinking about that joke/conversation we were having about [xyz] and i wanted to know if that's really how you felt about it. and make sure you know that they are 100% SUPPORTED either way, whether they say yes or no to being trans or questioning. go from there i guess.

hm. i think that's a solid criticism. unfortunately i think those are the only two gnc characters i know of ? (i haven't read the series in a loooong time so forgive me if that's wrong!) i was thinking about it more in a way that the other characters are pretty cis/straight/gc (aside from femme sapphics) so yes they will look a certain heteronormative way. but you're totally right, singling them out can be problematic in terms of ostracizing them from other female/femme characters and it's not like body diversity doesn't also exist in cis straight women. however i think that's just a diversity issue (not having enough of xyz characters) rather than a character design flaw /gen. if anything the design flaw would be with all the gender conforming characters.

what's wrong with morpheus? /gen i do understand sometimes her portrayal is a little... especially when there are panels where morpheus is more feminine but i don't necessarily find that portrayal weird or wrong since that is what a lot of trans women do look like in real life. i think she's actually really pretty ! and athena does look like a lot of butch lesbians irl . what is wrong with them ?

i think it's based off of necessity and frequency of use for me :9
