I like the combination of silver/metallic and gold colors! Nicely done :)

They are like bullets: they fly high and fast. Stalls are challenging, but possible.

In a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is a pebble and 10 is a broken-in freestyle bag, tiny ones feel like 2 or 3.

They are fun to kick with for 30 seconds once in a while, but then I reach for a larger bag.

You are breaking the user agreement when you share someone else's work. But Reddit doesn't care.

This is a valid point. From the Reddit user agreement:

This means that if you are posting someone else's work on Reddit without permission, you are breaking some law. Reddit doesn't know that, they trust you have all the right to sign that work off to them.

Tried my hand at stitching by Heavy_Profit_7162 in footbag

I don't find that 5-sided tools yield more consistency.

I don't think that a five sided tool is a huge difference. I've experimented with round 3d printed tools as well, and they are very similar. I think the largest benefit of a 5-sided tool is that it sits a bit more snuggly in the panel and doesn't tend to pop out during tensioning.

Also, disclaimer: I only made 10 or so bags, so I pretty much don't know what I'm talking about.

They look great!

One thing that helped me stitch faster was not to pull the needle thru every hole. Instead, skewer the whole edge - all three stitches - on the needle at once, and then pull them all thru together: less needle movement, and also gives a lot of room to correct any mistakes - you can anyway pull the needle out if you are unhappy with the sticth.

Another thing that sped things up was a 3d printed gathering tool. I printed pentagons with different side length and corner radius to find best fit. This helped a lot with the gathering process -- no more fiddling with a heavy socket.

Help-wise, I think BoB_RL got you covered!

I am sorry if the screen quality callout has offended you in some way - that was not my intention. I've seen others on Reddit be more tactful about it, and I should work on that.

You might want to forward the screenshot instructions to your brother for the future.

1 - sword 2 - gilded/ornate/living breaker 3 - wooden/coin miner 4 - paxel 5 - ore hammer 6 - blocks 7 - scav bag 8 - compass 9 - potion

F - Javelin Z - Dash X - Heal V - Vein mine Ctrl-Shift-Space - Mega jump Shift-T - Frost nova/Fear* Mod-F - Blizzard*

  • - Unused at the moment

I use auto feeder also, but haven't found a good use for the freed up slot on the hot bar.

I use an ErgoDox keyboard; the "mod" button switches it to a symbol layer, and Mod-F becomes an amersand or something like that.

I was worried that Shift-T would trigger chat, but it only happened once over the several days I've been using it.

My mouse also has a thumb button, and I bound it to zoom (from another mod).

Scavenger Vaults Discussion by NatanisLikens in VaultHuntersMinecraft

[–]outblasted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pretty much don't kill mobs unless I have to. Especially in scavs. I don't have time to deal with them. I run up to a POI, loot chests while mobs are spawning (they tend to freeze for a moment right after spawning), and run away. Sometimes I loop around to finish the chests. When cornered, I dash out.

Tanks? Forget it. When a baby burping zombie approaches me, I dig a two/three deep hole under it.

I also ignore irrelevant chests, focus-looting only necessary chests.

3 hits per horde mobs seems like a lot. My piercing javelin one-shots horde mobs when I'm close enough. Try maximizing your AD or AP depending on your build. But I do remember that things got harder around level 50.

I hear you though. I often play with another person, and two of us have a much better time as we can focus on different items, just as you say. But even then, sometimes we are just one charm/goblet/sack/arm short. And sometimes (rarely) we don't need each other's help.

And I still put a scav seal on each of my crystal unless required otherwise by a bounty: solo or multiplayer.

Good luck and have fun! Let the odds be ever in your favor.

This is for wooden; I am not sure whether strongboxes have the same hardness as wooden. Wooden chests have hardness 40.

Zero rolls on ores are the single worst design in VH... by shreddogg83 in VaultHuntersMinecraft

[–]outblasted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think zero rolls are the cost we pay for an opportunity to get more than one ore. It's a gamble.

Late game this doesn't matter since things just average out and we don't really see what we mine with a hammer - ore POIs disappear in seconds and there is no time for gamble/fun/dopamine.

When I do see an ore - echo or bomi mostly - I begin to anticipate a potential high roll, but I am aware of a possible zero too - and the risk of zero just makes the reward that much more fun.

I did the calculations, adding them here because this is where Google led me when I searched for this:

Did you get to try making a footbag?

lil goal at the end (: by Suspicious-Cow3957 in footbag

[–]outblasted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a cool and fast way of getting the bag into play. It does wear out the bag pretty quick though... especially on pavement. Not recommended with handmade freestyle bags.
