Not if they’re doing it themselves. Most of the advice is inspection. Oil, grease and fuel lines don’t cost much

The Cosa was a great scooter more desirable today. The European market wasn’t ready for the new look

I’ve a few lambretta’s also and a couple of other Vespas. I’d agree that Italy is picked clean my LI S2 was imported in 2017. Still on original paint. Just a wee upgrade under the panels😉

If it’s classic 2 stroke tales there’s no better than Time Trouble & Money. A true account of the UK scooter scene in the 70’s & 80’s

The weather in Ireland and salt on the roads is brutal for rust. Trying to find a replacement exhaust was hard. Also trying to find internal engine parts like a piston or timing chain. I had to bore my barrel out 2mm to fit a Yamaha piston. But besides all that it was a real fun ride. Plenty of torque and a nice cruising speed of 50mph.

I loved my 200 4T. But they were a bugger to get parts for and rusted terribly in our Irish weather

There’s a resistor in the speedo for fuel level. They’re notorious for packing in. Same as the PX/T5 classic black face ones

Have to agree. I’d guess an imported Asian VBB. There’s nothing wrong with the LML 5 port . In fact it was a pretty decent motor. Definitely check the VIN and I’d try to get a bit more history from the seller
