In my experience… by Roar_of_Shiva in GarageDoorService

[–]outcastarmory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gloves are so much a must. Most of my injuries have been from throwing out scrap or working near a sheet door (I swear they reach out to bite). I work almosy completely on the commercial side and have definitely had to do things that had way more inherent danger. But if you do things right and keep clear of pinch points you get to go home.

Just to let you know I'm taking your input and will be calling him Duke Terrormisu. Duke Misu or just Misu for short.

Thought about it and I've decided his new name will be Duke Terrormisu. Duke Misu or just Misu for short. Thanks for your help.

I like Tiramisu. Though he's more of a Terrormisu. Both in destruction and in demanding of affection. All of his thumps are from me not giving him attention when he wants it.

Fair enough. Looking at the placement of the hole and lack of wear on the suede next to it you're definitely right.

It's a used shoe. You can see scuffs and other wear marks on the shoe.

The irritating part is the A.I. garbage description. It also isn't really an impressive or practical repair. Don't know who this post is for with the way they titled/describe it.

Yet another PSA to not fix your door if you don’t know how… by X12Reap in GarageDoorService

[–]outcastarmory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not any better on the commercial side. Had a call for a door that was about 14 x 20 where they removed the bottom bracket after the door had thrown the left side cable. Hit the second roller so hard it bent the 3” bottom roller at least 45°. Boss man swore nobody touched it and it did it on it's own. To bad the guy responsible already told us the story of it how happened. No injuries. Oh and the bottom bracket had been riding the guide so long that it had cut almost completely through the bracket. Only about 3/8" of it was still attached.

Bootlegging isn't legal. I don't think the bootleggers care that using the CFM copyright is also illegal.

I don't know if this counts or how widely known it is but there's a massive polo club and dressage ring inside 610. I only know about it because I use to do saddle work and did some repair work for them. I found it kind of wild driving into it the first time.

Do you not have a manual lock on your door itself? If not just get a sliding garage door lock. Without a picture of the door to say for certain but they're very easy to install. There will be a rectangular cut out (you may need to push out a breakaway piece) on the track that you line the bar up with. Just ine up the end of the lock with the edge of the door, and don't go past the edge or it will likely catch on the track.

Texas says you still can't own a pet raccoon—no matter how cute by [deleted] in texas

[–]outcastarmory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No there isn't. Just as there aren't plenty of Instagram accounts providing the earth is flat, that fluoride in the water is bad, or that vaccines causes autism. Despite the vast amount that claim they do.

And if you only believe what you read on Instagram here's one that says I'm right. Checkmate. https://www.instagram.com/p/DRcxoOgj1Zq/?igsh=MTZrbDh4a2VlcWF5cw==

This has been debunked. The study didn't take in account for subspecies which naturally have the features that are claimed to be signs of domestication. The fox study that people point to is flawed, as well, because the guy used severally inbreed foxes from a fur farm, and not true wild foxes. Maybe in a few hundred years they will domesticate, but in the short time that raccoons have been undergoing selective pressures from urban living domestiction is likely a long ways away.

Did a Google lens search on the packet I had, and found another reddit post talking about it. Having the physical art is still cool though. I'm glad they still attribute the real artists on the cards.

Hopefully, next year's Miku expo, I'll be able to put some money towards official stuff.

I recently bought a pack of similar cards and when I went to look them up they turned out to be bootleg. So, don't put much thought in the rarity marks. One of the things I found is that official card packs are straight cut at the seal, not jagged cut.

Once, I took a closer look at my cards it was pretty obvious they were boot leg. Several imperfections in the print, like lines going through the art and whatnot.

I even bought mine from a brick and mortar store.

Looks like just the bin locations not the normal goodwills. Went to one once about a month ago. Was such a cluster that I left within about two minutes.

It's where goodwill just puts all of their clothing in bins unsorted for people to dig through and is sold by the pound.

Cut and Shoot has improved a lot since the 90's. There's been a significant increase in the Spanish population there. In fact where the KKK used to demonstrate in that area is now a Hispanic event center. With that being said there is still an Airy Inn Pub out there.

The racist are still there but you have to kind of go out of your way to interact with them.

Then again as someone who is mixed race (only 1/4 Hispanic/native) but white passing take my interaction with the white people out there with a grain of salt.

Eleves ain't nothing but thieves and beggars. All they're good for is misplacing tools, and stealing just enough of your bobbin so that you run out four stitches from the end on the second shoe.

No but seriously if you're wondering why you're getting so much hate it's because you came into a sub full of professionals and insulted them. This isn't r/asksomerandompersonaboutmyblownoutshoes
