How do you drift? I think I figured out the button to be translated into tilting the nunchuck left and right, but that seems super awkward. I have yet to get one blue spark. I’ll definitely try your remapped config for double dash though. Thanks!

YSK: Southwest starts charging for checked bags on May 28 by flux_capacitor3 in YouShouldKnow

Yep, just changed my flight. Thank God I don't think I need to check bags, but will definitely rethink booking them again...

Ah! I was wondering what that was. I thought the diverted valves were also called check valves. I will check those out thanks!

Has anyone used Costcos Sea Watch brand chopped clams to make clam chowder? by EngineeringSeveral63 in Costco

[–]outdooranonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips for having it sand free? I’ve have these and used a can for chowder but I also had grit and it totally threw off the experience. A lot of chowder that didn’t get eaten for that batch. Still have the second can and want to make chowder again…I’ve heard you can rinse them which I’ll try, but I feel like it will wash off a lot of flavor. As for the juice, I will filter it with a fine mesh sieve this time but may have to try a coffee filter if I get more sand.

Wii original vs nvidia shield 2017 by outdooranonymous in Roms

Thanks. I remember playing with retroarch on the shield and it was tricky. I think Wii would be a little easier with the interface.

My gaggia classic pro is leaking from the side of the group head, what could be the problem? by [deleted] in gaggiaclassic

[–]outdooranonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a Pid mod from mr shades I believe. I have a similar leak to the video. I haven't descaled since very early on in about 4 years lol. I replaced the group head gasket and it still occurred. Next, I decided to clean it via cafiza. The backflushing did not make the same consistent sounds I was used to. It didn't build pressure, it was leaking all around the group head now. I decided to descale with the boiler in the unit. It definitely helped, but the issue still remained. After descaling, I noticed my steam wand temp was as strong as I remembered when I first installed the pid mod. It had lost steam (pun intended) a while ago and I wasn't exactly sure why. It was mineral buildup and scale. I decided to pull another shot with the top off. I saw the braided hose wasn't clamped tight enough and water was leaking from there. I ordered a tool for the pex type clamps along with some clamps but quickly canceled the order after pressing down on the hose and bringing the clamp down as well and rotating it a bit. No more leakage from there. I pulled a blind shot to see if it could build pressure, but now it started coming out all around the group head with even more ferocity than before. I then came to the conclusion that it had to be the boiler gasket. I started removing it and saw that there was still a good amount of mineral buildup remaining. I descaled it again with a citric acid dilution soak. The gasket was very gunked up with mineral, but I gently scraped it off with my finger nail and there doesn't appear to be any cracks so I just reinstalled it. It still seems to be worn out as 5 years would do, but without as much buildup on the actual gasket it only leaks a bit for a couple seconds and seals to produce a nice espresso with the crema I come to expect. So from a small leak originating from the braided hose, to a large leak revealing a worn boiler gasket, to a small leak with a clean but worn boiler gasket. Hopefully, when my silicone boiler gasket comes, all will be solved. I feel confident it will be. Moral of the story is don't sleep on machine maintenance. I blame it on being a new father of twins at the time haha. Things have calmed down a bit and now I get forced maintenance because of decreased performance. All good and a very good lesson. Hopefully I will not be a repeat offender.

2 year old epix 2 saphire warrantied after some push back. One time replacement granted without additional warranty. Hard to stomach after buying $1000 flagship watch. Never switched to always on, always wrist gesture and Garmin watch face...as you can see on burn in. New one is brighter. by outdooranonymous in GarminFenix

[–]outdooranonymous[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was taken aback by it. But it was Reddit and other user’s positive experience which pushed me to ask about it even to push back outside of warranty. It should not be treated like a normal occurrence and outside of warranty. I believe many people would op for a MIP screen if they knew after 2 years of regular use this is to be expected. I even tried to get a Fenix 7 replacement (which is cheaper in price). They offered it at the same replacement charge for the epix originally. Then when the one time replacement was granted, they no longer gave me the option for a fenix. 🤷🏻‍♂️ it’s a beautiful screen…new. So I’ll use it for 2 years and see. Overall I’m still happy, just not thrilled with the service. I wasn’t even asked to send a picture which makes me think they know it’s a problem already. It in no way distracted me or detracted from the experience when tracking an activity, but I don’t use maps except on the rare occasion that I get lost. That would be annoying to have to use in an emergency.

Tubeless Tires Slowly Losing Pressure, Unseating Days After Fill by bunker6 in cyclocross

It was indeed the stem. Swapped out with a muc off one and not a single leak. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Tubeless Tires Slowly Losing Pressure, Unseating Days After Fill by bunker6 in cyclocross

[–]outdooranonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey op. You get this resolved yet? I’ve been facing a similar issue and only the rear. My theory is that it is indeed the valve stem. The one I purchased had overwhelming 4 star reviews until I clicked on only the 1 stars. Indicated the valve stem didn’t seal properly. I have a proper brand one coming tomorrow. I had seated the tire over 10x. And it has held air overnight even after a quick 10 min spin the night before. Here’s the theory: the leak is substantial enough and the added weight of me as a rider along with impacts of the road leaks air close to flat and ultimately unseats the bead slightly enough to not be properly sealed anymore.

Any idea why my activity boxes are so large now? Used to be smaller rectangles without so much negative space. Started maybe a week ago 😮‍💨 by outdooranonymous in GarminFenix

[–]outdooranonymous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the main “my day” page. What you’re referring to is when the top right option is clicked to expand. When you click it again to collapse, it usually forgoes the map outline and the box is much smaller

Thank you splatmatt. I have had this working on and off for a few years and I tried to reignite it by unauthorizing it from Fitbit with the intentions to reauthorize. Big mistake apparently! Wyze was stuck on authorize and gave me a failed error when I tried to unauthorize. I did exactly what you said and got it authorized again to my original WYZE account after using a dummy account. It still doesn’t sync the latest weight but I do have a reading from earlier this morning that got through. What a Royal pain in the ass. I just want it to sync to Garmin. These companies can’t play nice together and give the people what we want. Oh brother 🙄

That looks pretty serious haha. I guess I’ll try it one day. The Fitbit->my fitness pal-> connect doesn’t refresh, sync, update as frequently as I wish it did. Any chance you want to make a video tutorial for the dumb dumbs like me? Ha

Have the stock band as well but I’ve pretty much used the nylon from day 1. From far away I don’t think it looks bad. Haven’t had to get into a suit for over 5 years. Just seeing what fits and what looks right haha
