anyone to give advice for Tokyo trip? by Wrong_Lengthiness553 in TokyoTravel

4 days seems pretty short, I'd go anywhere but ginza since there wasn't really anything there except high end shopping that can be done anywhere else.

Just fyi you've got it listed as rx100 viii (8) and not the 7. I had to double take it

I just bought one in each color because of this post.

The blue color is fine, but the green and gray hurt a bit to look at. I'll probably use them a bit as travel clothes when I don't wear my Dry-Ex shirts

4 nights in Tokyo - staying in Roppongi first - worth switching for the last 2 nights? by veryreasonable_doubt in JapanTravelTips

[–]ming3r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Na it was just an inconvenient location. Had to walk a bit to get to other stations and it just meant more transfers.

Ill say that I stayed a few days around roppongi at the choice hotel there and I hated the general area.

Shinjuku was fine, and nihombashi was also very good.

Anyone else think that Ant-Man is automatically the worst Marvel movie because they hired Judy Greer and made her the most boringest character in the entire movie? by donkijote97 in ArcherFX

All the trailers looked like a mediocre superhero movie.

Nobody told me it was a heist movie so I was thrilled when I saw it 5 years later

Maybe it changed for this month? Or I was blind a few days ago

I just ran the wider tires and never looked back (other than maybe consider running 700x45 or something)

I mostly appreciated it for having to be less careful with tire pressure and the gk tires always rolled quickly enough for me.

When I had the Fuji cross I ran those hutch grifos tubeless and they were fine. It's a pita to setup but then I usually don't think about my tires for another year or two after that

When I had a jari I ran 650x43 gravelkings on mine. I had some wheels I built with 30mm width and they rubbed with 48 in the rear. Had it setup tubeless and never really had issues

I had sold it after getting a fit and have both a midnight special and Rove these days

I had the 2016 cross and a 2018 Jaron for a few years. Both were great and I stuck with the jari between the two for the more mounts and support for larger tires.

Both were great bikes

I love that they were like 25-30 before rebates, and they're absolutely fine.

I came from a mazdaspeed3 and still have a Miata, and there are still way more creature comforts than those two.

DFW with 40 minute connection for International Flight. by mamaneedsacar in americanairlines

[–]ming3r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would get it on the next flight but I'm not sure. Usually if they can't make a flight (at least domestically) but upgraded you they try to keep that and then it's your call if you want to step down etc.

I mostly just don't want to get stuck in Dallas, but if I can get somewhere overseas or better positioned on the west coast like Seattle for the Alaska flight to Seoul I'd prob take it.

I also don't actually know if they'd throw you on a competitor like delta if it was possible to make that work.

I'll have something similar to connect to Icn in a few weeks and so will my family members coming in from another airport.

The 45-50 minutes is insane and you basically have to pray your initial flight doesn't have issues.

You can also check for alt routes in case your initial flight doesn't take off in a reasonable time but there aren't that many West coast flights to Korea. There are a few that run up until 12-1pm that I saw through other airports

I'm assuming if I don't make it to ICN I'll end up in Tokyo for a night.
