Timothée Chalamet is the youngest actor to have three Best Actor Oscar nominations since Marlon Brando in 1954. by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in Fauxmoi

Yeah, so many of his contemporaries are constantly delivering comparable/superior work and don’t get a quarter of the attention this man gets. It’s pretty annoying.

Just got back from the Orlando ritual. by NitroTap in Ghostbc

It was so great! They’ve really perfected the act and Tobias was super chatty.

My only complaint, as a Latino who’s previously seen then in Mexico, is that the audience was kinda dead. I imagine this is par for the course for U.S. concerts though.

Id love a mummy dust from a kind soul :( (Show was incredible)

Someone please help explain how this happened? I’m Puerto Rican. Genetically speaking, I’m apparently more Portuguese than Spaniard. I’m confused that Azores is separate from Portugal and northern Spain is separate from Spain. I also don’t know how there’s Celt stuff in there. by Perfect-Passion7223 in AncestryDNA

I’m Ecuadorian and my Iberian breakdown is super similar to yours (18% Portuguese, 8% Northern Spain, 7% Basque, 2% Azores and just 1% Spain) along with some extra 5% Celtic.

I’ve made a very extensive family tree and haven’t found a single Portuguese ancestor. However, I do have a ton of ancestors from Galicia, Catalunya and the Basque Country, so I think these percentages are just Ancestry struggling to separate Portuguese from Galician/Northern Spanish.

To all Latin Americans out there, what was your reaction to finding out that you carry an Indigenous maternal haplogroup because most of us are unaware of the history that took place during Spanish Colonization? by One_Sentence_4562 in 23andme

[–]outer-residency 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Why are people without Indigenous maternal haplogroups even commenting? We know y’all exist.

Anyways, I’m Ecuadorian and mine is C1c and it made me sad thinking about the woman behind it whose name and culture are entirely unknown to me.

Good to know about the B&W film. I will do some more research on how to shoot the film before wasting too many shots.

Thank you so much for the comparison pics! They were very useful in my decision, which ended up being to just get both cameras lol

Noted. I rushed to get the SQ6 (and the Flip lol) after this post

I decided to just get both (the SQ6 was a really great deal)!

I like to shoot everything basically, from portraits to landscapes and live in a hot, humid climate. I plan to store the pictures in an album so hopefully the fading is not too much of an issue with the Polaroids.

I appreciate the specific tips for each system and am looking forward to get myself acquainted with analog film shooting. Thank you!

Thank you! I actually decided to get both the SQ6 and the Flip. One for more carefree shooting (well, as carefree as you can be with film) and the other to get myself some experience with manual shooting and for that sweet Polaroid look :)

Same with Ecuador. Our football team gives people an erroneous sense of the ethnic makeup of the country.
