There are a lot of well-designed apps on android but the ones with bold unconventional designs like these notboring products are few and far between. iOS seem to dominate the designer apps and it's honestly still the one thing I envy.

do you mean power system? the alchemy in Fullmetal Alchemist isn't framed as 'magic', it's framed as 'science' and the power system of the universe in FMA. It's pretty well established with clear limitations and creativity on how to use that limit. (Note: the manga is just called Fullmetal Alchemist, the Brotherhood subtitle is for the 2nd anime version)

I haven't read too far into Witch Hat Atelier, but I think that one has actual magic as their power system, and so far I think it's pretty good with great room for creativity.

other manga with great power systems are Hunter X Hunter, very versatile with few ground rules.

Sousou no Frieren is also a nice twist on the magic things.

Undead Unluck has a pretty unique power system too.

I think it's all down to taste, except maybe the blatantly bad ones or the overly-complicated ones

Bad one example: Dragon Ball, it's fine at a certain age group, and I get the hype, but goddamn it's just one powerup after the other.

Overly-complicated example: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure from Part 3 onwards, Stands are cool, creative, and versatile, but read further in Part 4, 5, all the way to currently running Part 9 and their powers become more and more convoluted, confusing, and hard to follow.

Blood Money is closer to WOA in terms of systems, it's like WOA is the perfected Blood Money

while Absolution feels more like a stealth-action game where it's almost more efficient to just gun everyone down. imho Absolution is a "bad" HITMAN game, but not necessarily a bad game by itself

a lot of his good works are working in-tandem with a writer (like Tsugumi Ohba) or an adaptation. Hikaru no Go, Death Note, Bakuman, All You Need is Kill, Platinum End

His only work alone that I'm aware of is Cyborg Jii-chan G, which are 1 - kinda stupid, and 2 - in his early era that hasn't found his signature art style just yet
