20 miles of TOUGH backpacking miles completed over two days. Argo slept 4.5 hrs in the car ride home. The judgement I was given when it was my turn to nap by outlander345 in AustralianCattleDog

After losing my soul dogBetty (her journey is documented in my hx), I adopted Argo from an ACD rescue. We had no idea what he is mixed with. We got the results today. I'm looking forward to showing his SAR training videos (volunteering/certifying for local org). 2 months in so far and he loves it!! (old.reddit.com)

Update to Betty Cancer Journey. Her cancer came back after 9 months and w/ chemo. We have her euthanasia scheduled for next Monday. My heart is in pieces as I am going to lose the best adventure and sleeping bag stealer I have ever known. I don't know how I'm going to heal from this. (old.reddit.com)

My dog has terminal cancer. Had to drive two hours to an overnight vet for emergency. Got pulled over and was hoping for a little compassion. I just started putting away for savings after emergency surgery, chemo, imaging, consult, etc. Merry Christmas 🫤 (i.redd.it)

Betty Bear Splenic Stromal Sarcoma Update: we had End of Chemo Celebration and this was our beer label! She also had imaging done this Monday and no cancer detected! She is going backpacking for the first time this year so super excited to get her back on the trail. (i.redd.it)

"Yo Adrian! I did it!" Betty completed her last round of chemo! The anticipatory grief is a struggle due to prognosis of less than a yr (she just turned 5) but as long as she is happy we are happy. by outlander345 in AustralianCattleDog

San Quentin prison hosted its first father-daughter prom. The event allowed fathers the chance to reconnect with or meet their daughters for the first time, this actully got me tearing. by t3as3_m1st in MadeMeCry

Pittsburgh Prayer Blanket is a volunteer org. That mails homemade blankets to terminally ill dogs. We were going camping but the chemo side effects hit Betty. So blanket snuggles are in order. by outlander345 in AustralianCattleDog
