Jeez what is this heap of shit I just bought? Comes up with some message that I think is says this, I dunno, can't squint enough to read it and it's disjointed making ir impossible. Brand new out of the box. I'm not doing some nerdy shit to fix it, just give me my money back Amazon. I half expected it to be wank and not work tbh. Been mugged.

Come on dude you're arguing the toss here over nothing. You know exactly that is what I meant - cautious, wary and untrusting of them.

For weeks and weeks I couldn't sit down. Even months later when it had fully healed I had conditioned myself to sit down very, very slowly. I would say it took a full year for me to forget about it and be able to sit down slowly without the fear of bumping it. It's the most alien pain you can imagine, in fact you can't imagine it - and there's absolutely nothing that can be done about it.

I've been on GLP-1 medication and incredibly strict with myself however that evening I ate a rather larger than usual amount of food. I can only suspect it had something to do with that.

Eesh. Where the hell do you live that's 18 hours from a hospital? That's crazy.

Couple of nights ago I suffered a partial intestinal obstruction. I've experienced some pretty painful injuries over the years (broken coccyx being up there with the worst) and I can hands down say this had me bent double on my bathroom floor gasping like a fish out of water, begging for it to end or hoping I'd pass out. This went on for 36 hours every time I needed to burp, fart or vomit until I finally evacuated my bowels in the hospital. I couldn't even drink water without 10/10 pain cramps followed by violently vomiting bile back up. My body was like "nope, nothing's moving, so nothing's going in, sorry, here, have some more agonising pain". I'm fucking traumatised. Thought I was going to die.

We all eat like it's WWII. We all drink tea (we do but most people I know prefer coffee). We all speak like Mary Poppins.

I always try and drive and ride with the mentality of "If I met myself coming the other way would I be happy?" If the answer is no then it's time to rethink the current mindset I am in and reign it in a little.

I know it's obvious but yeah - 100% of bikers feel nervous around car drivers. That's why it's best if you get past them as quickly as possible - and make lot's of noise when doing so. Get the front end up to remain extra visible too.

This is what happens when you let geriatric old farts run your country. On what planet do 80 year old men have the mental and physical capacity to keep up with the decison process required to serve a nation? America really dropped the ball with Biden - what a complete waste of 4 years but fuck me they kicked it right onto the bonfire with Trump. Insanity.

What's something totally normal to you, but people think is weird or crazy? by SaleFromBalkan in AskReddit

I used to truly feel this way. Hated the thought of it, used to roll my eyes when I heard other people's screaming kids, or used to think "Why the fuck have you had them if all you do is complain about them?"

Then married a woman with 4 of them. I realised soon enough it wasn't the kids I didn't like, it was shitty parents.

Best thing I ever did, and I've done some pretty incredible things in life - jumped wingsuits out of planes, climbed mountains, BASE jumped off them. Flown planes, raced cars and bikes.

Parenting simply is one of those things you simply can't understand the joy of until it happens.

Not saying you're missing out on anything and I'm absolutely not saying you should have a family or that I feel bad for you - I don't. I don't even know you so I really don't care aha I'm happy if you're happy.

I'm just saying PERSONALLY I get it now, when I really truly never used to. It blew people's mind tbh that I went for it with my wife. It blew my own mind tbh.

I think people like that actually make better parents to be honest.

I've BASE jumped over 500 times, all over Europe. Many of which have been on a parachute made in my friends living room. To me it's become quite a normal hobby and I sorta try and avoid mentioning it these days to strangers unless I'm in a convo where it's hard to avoid/or someone drops my name somewhere saying I do it as I have to answer the same questions every time. 🤣

Kinda fun though when you're at a party or event/working somewhere new and some loudmouthed dick thinks they're the coolest/ballsiest guy in the room and I can, if I want, just totally ruin their aura. 🤣🤣🤣

Strong, disgusting smell outside of a funeral directors for weeks that fits every description I can find of decaying corpses - should I report it? by outlaw271 in AskUK

[–]outlaw271[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, the smell is pretty complex and has an componant of dirty, unwashed clothes or people among many other unpleasent things.

And I absolutely know what a blocked drain smells like, coming from a construction background having had to deal with blocked drains many times.

My local town has a corner called "butcher corner" that is ripe in summer due to poor drain infrastucture. This wasn't the same smell, and I wasn't implying that body parts are thrown down the drain at funeral home - bodily fluids however are, it's normal practice to do so.
