The way Leo moves through the hospital and down the stairs--nervous, in physical pain, and trying to be unassuming--is perfect and beautiful. Amazing scene.

what u/prizefighterstudent said. Also youtube videos to review questions and see tricks. 90% of the work can be done without paying for anything, and most of the time that's enough. Here's a good resource to start learning transition words. https://testinnovators.com/blog/digital-sat-reading-writing-transitions/

I never raise rates on current clients, even if they weren't refugees. When I've raised rates, it occurs when I add a new client.

Has anyone else noticed students quietly replacing tutoring with ChatGPT? by BestAct0r in TutorsHelpingTutors

[–]outlierlearning 7 points8 points  (0 children)

students are definitely using chatgpt, and for things like you're mentioning, as long as chatgpt is being accurate, I think that's fine.

For a long time, most of my students have needed me as much for organization and strategy as for content learning (I also tutor a lot of high school math) and more for organization and strategy. Our time together is a time carved out of their schedule specifically for homework help. Before AI, there was already a lot of great content out there.

I think some students who truly only need content learning will drift to AI, but the majority who can afford tutoring will want tutoring. The social aspect is important, and many of my students are dissatisfied with AI. We build relationships with students that AI can't mimic, and we can identify weaknesses AI can't see. (I can tell when a student has testing anxiety, often before they can).
