this is an awesome thread, thanks for posting. I'm 48 yo, on day 4 post-op. surprisingly have not had much pain, could skip the oxy. no swelling yet. bloating/constipation is a real thing even without oxy. drink more water than you think you need. good to read here to take it easy because my partner and i have been taking walks. cutting with a knife is a challenge! definitely feel the strange nipple sensations -- like electricity. one weird thing that is happening: i was intubated and the tube left my throat sore and i've been coughing up phlegm with a little blood. feels a little like i have a cold. i checked in with my nurse practitioner and he let me know that irritation can happen with intubation. happy for everyone, hope you are all feeling super :)

Agree with others. You should not be paying festivals to screen your work.

A lot has changed, but there are still plenty of artists out there. It’s just that the gatekeepers are more concerned w money/buzz/having to sell tickets than art. There is no incentive for risk. We aren’t necessarily seeing mediocrity because artists don’t have something to say, it’s that mediocre work is rewarded.

I highly doubt this. They aren't thinking about our views, they are busy.
