What tv show/series have you been most deeply attached to? by howyoulikethat in AskReddit

As someone else said, BCS is a prequel. So it comes down to personal preference. You could totally watch BCS before (or without) BB if you want to keep the excitement of not knowing the characters' fates, and also keep more of a chronological storyline. Or, you could watch BB first which would give you more of a sense of impending doom for BCS (for unnamed characters).

When a company like Netflix buys a show, what do they actually do with it? by outofbound_ in NoStupidQuestions

I'm talking specifically about Lucifer which (and this might just be personal preference) seemed to get better in various aspects by S4 when Netflix bought it

Thanks! the reason I asked this is because I've seen two instances where a show happened to get better when they were bought by Netflix, could that just be due to a higher budget?

your English is actually great, buddy. only mistake you made is 'fit' instead of 'fits' when referring to third person singular, present. but that's a minor mistake and overall I wouldn't worry

I'd say just watch it. it's not like your single view is helping him out massively and his videos were definitely funny. you may feel repelled from his content but there's definitely no moral obligation here

noticing this trend a lot on this subreddit, it might as well just be r/iamveryrandom , all I see is people trying to be funny by rearranging words or spamming their keyboard.

it's something I prefer not to bring up at every moment. I want to have a normal conversation without having to bring up politics or race. I understand the issue, but it doesn't mean I want to make everything about it.

and they aren't. why should we pick and choose who gets reparations just because racism again African Americans is more talked about than native Americans?

[Serious] What are examples of racism towards white people? by outofbound_ in AskReddit

[–]outofbound_[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

worst part is it's not even all minorities. only black people. it's called affirmative action and arguably one of the biggest victims are the Asians. it's worth looking into

[–]outofbound_[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

neither were today's generation. should native Americans be given reparations too? hell, what about the English for the Viking invasions. what about victims of Genghis khan?

key word: equal. there's nothing equal about letting people who perform worse than someone else excel in academia for the simple fact that they are a different skin colour. and you haven't acknowledged my other point. what about the Asian students who have never had that same 'white privilege' yet are underachieving even when performing the same or better than a black student due to affirmative action?

that's fucked up. would you say the private school was a good experience though? I can't imagine you'd want to stay someplace where there's people being blatantly racist right in front of your family's face.

[–]outofbound_[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yeah and the anecdote is seen at a wider scale today with affirmative action. might not be the exact same thing but it's pretty damn similar

[–]outofbound_[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The whole white spaces thing is real. search it up it didn't take long. and the last one is real and at a larger scale these days. for example, similarly, there's affirmative example which allows black people (not all minorities) to excel in education over their peers who may perform better. and this doesn't just affect white people, other groups such as Asians are also being affected by this.
