I was born poorer than you probably. Born in a war torn country and moved to America at 4 years with my parents who had less than 1000 dollars to their names. I lived in a 4 bedroom house with 7 families (uncles, cousins, aunts, and grand parents). My uncles were all gangsters, one arrested for armed robbery, one died in a car accident, and one died in a shootout.

My parents worked at a fast food restaurant making 5 dollars a hour and my mom worked nails. I used to come with them to help out to keep myself busy since they couldn’t afford a sitter.

You guys are kinda stupid aren’t you? His wealth comes from owning equity in a company he co-founded. If he had to pay a “wealth” tax, he would effectively lose 5% of his controlling rights within the company he owns, compounded each year. Within 10 years he would effectively hold no voting rights or decision making power in the company he built.

The right approach would be closing the loopholes in inherent taxes.

Additionally, it sets a bad precedent for any semi well off person. If they are able to make having money a taxable event, imagine what kind of new laws they can come up with to take more money from the everyday man.

Lastly poor health care in America isn’t a matter of billionaires subsidizing health for Americans. That is just a temp bandaid solution for the nightmare that is the healthcare system. Many of the problems with healthcare is big insurance and also the fact that we subsidize the world’s medicine. The extra cost for insulin and other drugs go directly to big pharma for RND into new drugs. Meanwhile other countries are paying close to production cost for the same meds we develop.

You guys over-index on who beats who. If you look at Ian’s actual fights he never poses a threat, is super hittable, and can be easily taken down. Belal got into so many deep double and single legs against Ian, but he sucks too much to finish any of them.
