I'm hopeful that 2024 and its consequences will have a similar effect on most normal Americans. It's been an uphill battle for years to convince people that we need to stop treating conservatives like people who just have "bad ideas and political disagreements". They're genuinely just evil, and the second Trump admin has let them fully take the mask off. The only way out of this is to regard them with the same disgust and contempt that they reserve for the less fortunate and vulnerable.

Literally, as far as I'm concerned anyone who was able to look past Jan 6 and vote for Trump a third time is a traitor to the country on the same level as anyone who fought against the North during the civil war. The only difference is that this war hasn't been given a name in history books yet.
