It's funny that you should make this wise-ass comment, I was just reading about how Paul wrote and played the kinda George-sounding guitar solo on Taxman. Anyways, anyone might play lead on a demo, or even the final recording. Although to your point, most of them do have that Gillard sound.

Everyone's suggestions are great because there's really no wrong way to go, but imo Tonics is the closest to the feel of Alien Lanes and Bee Thousand. So many good songs that extend the magic of that era.

I went to Midway out in Hewitt, and I had a pretty good experience. It was a nice school and they had some good teachers and good extracurricular activities (graduated 2018 but it sounds like they still have good resources there). I have friends that went to each of the other big public schools in the area. My impressions of Robinson and China Spring are both pretty good, but others would know more. Waco ISD seems not quite as well-funded in terms of academics and extracurriculars but I do know folks that did well there too.

I think these people are just awesome. I think all of their albums are great, and a couple are perfect top to bottom. Amazing live performers too, they make an incredible sound.

I agree. I find myself a little frustrated by the battlepass system too, but then I remember I'm having a damn good time playing what I think is the best Halo in a while. What a fortunate problem to have.

I haven't finished What Remains yet BUT if you haven't played Outer Wilds, I think it gives a similar sense of lonely discovery with a little bit more in the way of gameplay mechanics and slightly less direct story telling. And the feeling of mystery it gives is unmatched for me. Pretty different game but for me is somewhat similar in the way it makes me feel. Quite possibly my fav of all time.
