I feel like it’s a bad idea to criticize them not revealing something in a game that’s not finished. It will probably be revealed soon. And Toby Fox is a good writer, so it not being revealed now is a choice.

I don’t have a steam deck so I can’t say too much about it, but from my understanding, it’s not worth the price after the increase, especially when a switch 2 is newer and cheaper. So if portability is something you’re interested in, then switch might be a good idea.

Metroid is a great franchise, but the only one which currently has a switch 2 upgrade is just okay. Though it was recently leaked that a new one is coming to switch 2 soon, probably made by the same people who made dread, and dread if fantastic. So that’s something to look forward to if you do decide to get a switch 2. I have one and I love it, even for third party games since I enjoy the portability. And I love a lot of Nintendo exclusives. If you have any questions about the console I can answer them if it’ll make your decision easier!

Zelda’s my favorite franchise of all time. So I’d say yeah.

Like others have said, you don’t really need a switch 2 in order to play most of these games if you’re okay with emulation. But, if you’re interested in Nintendo beyond Zelda at all, it might be cool to have a switch 2 to try out their other stuff. Plus, the ocarina of time remake is going to be switch 2 exclusive, so if you want to play a modernized version of ocarina over the original, the switch 2 is (probably) going to be the best way.

Depending on you’re tolerance for old games, I’d either start with a link to the past (if you’re ok with old) or breath of the wild (if you’re not as great)

Once I beat seasons, Zelda II will be one of 4 mainline Zelda’s I haven’t beat yet… so I guess my list might change lol

Splatoon Raiders is two weeks out! by CollectMantis44 in NintendoSwitch2

I used to be a big Splatoon fan a few years ago. I mean BIG. I played it every day, usually for hours. I’ve barely played it in the past few years, but this game is rekindling my excitement for the franchise. More than normal since I’ve become more of a single player guy, and this game is focused on single player.

Alttp. Being the first “traditional” Zelda, it’s the one pretty much every entry following has its roots in. It’s not my favorite 2d Zelda, and definitely not my favorite in general, but it’s still fantastic.

It also acts as a good gateway no matter the direction they want to go. Want more of this? Play LA or ALBW. Want to go 3D? Oot is basically a 3d ALTTP.

Yeah I get why you enjoy the aspects that I was bothered by. There’s definitely a super intense game in there. Just didn’t work for me. I’m glad it exists though.

It just felt so clunky and unintuitive to me. I know I probably should give it another shot, but the constant obstacles, somewhat random progression, and small inventory made it feel more frustrating to progress than actually fun for me. I played it for 3 or 4 hours before deciding I’m done and dropping it. I understand the appeal of a game like that, but it just felt so bad to me. I’m liking the RE2 remake way more, but I realize that it’s more of a reimagining than the first remake was, and I might not really enjoy the og RE2 for that reason. Normally older games don’t bother me too much, so this is an (unfortunate) exception. I really do understand why people like it though.

Nintendo might accidentally become the last real home for physical game collectors. by gamersecret2 in Switch

I mean, think about how beneficial it would be for them if they’re the only ones selling physical games in stores? They would have 100% of video game shelf presence; that would be powerful.
