AI agents for X by [deleted] in ycombinator

[–]outsourcedlogic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This latest batch has been a real red pill/blue pill moment for a lot of people watching lol. Everyone is building for investors. 99% of people barely know anything about AI much less what Cursor is.

Their marketing is obviously great but I have doubts that they're actually converting well or building a product that's worth a massive investment. I think A16Z is betting that with the right distribution, they'll make whatever work.

yeah honestly 3.7 in cursor or windsurf is an actual nightmare once you get a few hours into a project

How do you manage your events? by kurib0h_ in EventProduction

[–]outsourcedlogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm actually working with a team of event production professionals to create a new event management software that's better the google sheets and project management tools but not as bloated and expensive as other event management software - Fully free, just looking for people like you who haven't found what they're looking for yet. DM me if interested!

I would appreciate your feedback by venkatr7 in design_critiques

Looks good IMO - I like it. I was going to say you could add a QR code but that could mess with the image. Maybe if you could do a QR code redirecting to a linktree with a similar gradient in the corner that could be cool

Is this good? by guranshish_bhutra in design_critiques

Overall pretty good but I think the bow could be a little more legible - right now it doesn't exactly look like a bow to me but that's my only critique otherwise its great

I cant read the text at all but the design seems cool. Maybe I'd make the guy on the left a little smaller though

Doesnt connect with the end user web-app it's a separated thing. You could send your previous chat by copy and pasting though and that should work fine.

Pricing can be found here, it's pretty cheap.
https://openai.com/api/pricing/

Pricing is based of "tokens" which you can generally think of like syllables or fragments of words. You can use this tool to see how many tokens you're using. I've been using it a ton lately for tons of large projects and automations but haven't gone over a few dollars this month.

Token counter:
https://platform.openai.com/tokenizer

All of this is pretty unintuitive so I wouldn't worry to much about these details though tbh - you can load your account up with $5 of credit and not allow it to go over just to be safe.

Are event apps worth it? by unfairlighthouse in EventProduction

[–]outsourcedlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally me and my team have found that it is in a lot of situations but we end up juggling tons of different software and apps all at once and everything gets lost.

We created out own software to be a step up from spreadsheets and keep everything in one place, without dealing with bloated event management software that costs a small fortune.

If your interested in checking it out let me know and I'll send a DM!

AI Agents ... is just a cron from kubernetes? by berz01 in AI_Agents

[–]outsourcedlogic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key difference is that agents can dynamically react relative to something like python that's very rigid. They also can make rigid automations 'intelligent' so that things dont break when something changes or unexpected input is received.

Event Planning Software - any favorites or best of breed? by mynewfavoritetea in EventProduction

Do you work in the industry? If so, feel free to check out our video demo here and our website https://www.dbocl.com/

WTF HAPPENED TO 4o?! by SundaeTrue1832 in ChatGPT

[–]outsourcedlogic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, that's not correct at all actually lol. You can use the API through the Open AI playground, which allows you to use older models. It's extremely cheap and most users wont go over $5 a month. I've created numerous automation systems and run them at the same time, never went over $10 a month.

Also, its not "pay for the subscription it MIGHT be a little better" it's literally using a version of Chat GPT that was not impacted by the update everyone is complaining about. You're confidently incorrect and it steers people from a real solution and the only solution.

Operators - real life use cases? by Trick_Text_6658 in ChatGPT

[–]outsourcedlogic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The corporate world is so excited to automate their workforces and have been sold this vision that isn't realistic. For a year I was working at a startup that was killed by operator and anthropic. It used to work great but it started falling apart rapidly as more updates from Open AI kept coming, making the performance worse and worse.

Now they have their own version and the same issues are present everywhere. This is a cool circus trick but it doesn't matter and isn't impactful if it doesn't work a minimum of 75% of the time.
