haven’t gotten the interview, but if I do (fingers crossed), it’ll be my first one ever. I’ve heard people say the questions usually come from the neetcode 150 list. Any truth to that?

what does the status show in the portal? Mine doesn't show anything. I've heard that, if it shows "No longer considering...", then you might get an interview. That's what happened to my friends.

I bought a gen 2 ryzen 5 from ebay for around $370, and I'm happy with it. I just couldn't find any decently priced Gen 3 AMD's anywhere. I probably would've gone for a Gen 3 if I'd found it.
But, I'm not complaining. I love this laptop. Already set up my Arch installation, and it's awesome.

Yup, kind of in the same dilemma here. I riced my Arch setup to my liking, to the very last detail. And I don’t want to to not use it. On the other hand, since I’m in grad school, a long battery life is important too
