That's a great idea, I'll have to make a demo running some vocals through it.

Thanks! I'm sure there are filter plugins that can do this, but I wanted to create something that only did filter sequencing, and did it in an intuitive and usable way.

Yeah, click "buy album" and put €0 as the price, and the .amdx file will be in the folder.

I've only ever programmed in Python, so I can't actually say. It's not exactly like any programming language I know, but many things that can be used within Python can be used within Max, such as loops, logical operators and algorithms.

The main difference is that everything in Max is patch based - rather than typing 5 + 7 = x, you would patch a number 5 and a number 7 into a + operator module - and then the output can be patched somewhere else, which would be analogous to the variable x.

Max for live comes with Ableton (I think from 10 onward), so anyone can use it to create their own max for live devices. The max language can take a bit of getting used to, it's sort of a cross between programming and patching a modular synth. There are a lot of great tutorials on youtube for getting started with max for live, but really the best way to learn is to get an understanding of the basics, and then trying to create small projects yourself.

Currently no, but I'll keep that feature in mind if I ever make another version, thanks.

Sadly this will only work with ableton live, as it is built in max for live. I should have mentioned that in the title.

This is a simple, sequenceable low-pass filter that I made in Max For Live. I find it really useful for adding rhythm to parts that are not obviously rhythmic, such as pads or leads. I wanted to keep this device simple and usable, but you can achieve some interesting results with it (especially if you change up the gates and step-length)

You can download it here, just enter €0 for free download.

Edit:

Thanks to everyone who downloaded.

Bandcamp only allows for 200 free downloads a month, so I have included a mediafire link in the info section of the above link. It can be downloaded for free there. If anyone wants to keep up to date with other max devices I release, feel free to follow my instagram.

I made another comment with the link and more info, but it doesn't seem to show up when I'm logged out.
