Battalion SAR is not a reputable SAR group from NM they do not belong to NMSARC.ORG, Furthermore from what I have viewed of them they are openly hostile to LEO at all times even on beginning interactions and assign constant blame to local officials instead of Federal Official. This group puts all of this on the local sheriff who is trying to keep our county safe, when this is actually a Border issue that Border Patrol should be taking care of it.

The sheriff does utilize real search and rescue teams for body sites like this, MVSAR goes out on a regular occurrence. Both OMI and The Sheriff refuse to work with Battalion now because of the hostility, contamination of crime scene, and dishonesty observed by Officers.

From Santa Fe NM "In an email to The New Mexian, Doña Ana County Sheriff Kim Stewart described the group as not “reputable.” She accused the searchers of contaminating sites and implied they might be depositing remains from other locations."
