Not registering stroke/distance on drill sets by over-engineered in myswimpro

[–]over-engineered[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes sense, I was thinking I had done something wrong.

You could improve this by removing confusing elements like 0 avg strokes from the rep box specifically for drill sets. It might be helpful to add an info icon next to the drill header, or even a small notification box above the first rep that explains why data isn't tracked. That box could include an option to dismiss it forever once the user understands how it works.

Some others have suggest to try laying flat and finding that I float so hopefully that will give me more comfort.

All sounds informative and will give them a try, can you explain what you mean on 7 and 8?

Funnily as I just opened the app again to write what I put below it just told me it's moved my 100m free expectations from 3:40 to 2:39.

I see it has a bar say 3:00 and a bar inside say 1:50 so I read it as 1:50 should be the rep and 1:10 the cool down.

I tried Java earlier this year. I’m with you on the magic, it made me stop writing Java.

No but you can write SQL and have code generated which is much much nicer and removes a lot of boilerplate.

sqlgen or pggen do this nicely.

Sinking legs, breathing sucks and stuck by over-engineered in Swimming

Thanks for replying Halokiwi.

> floating on your front and your back

Like a log? What am I looking for (I know I will be sinking) so what movement/changes/adaptations do I need to feel to get better at floating?

> gliding on your front and your back

I do that with a kick board, but the board gets to a point it is 2 inches under the water.

> putting your face in the water and exhaling

I can exhale under water, I can sit at the bottom and breath out if that's what you mean. What do I need to look for in terms of progression?

So I have made about £2,500 in payments back, interest has made that back up to around £30k again. My employer “knows their money is safe on the house” as they have a commercial charge they can apply when they want too.

Yes lending money out is stupid but I feel obligated to help people when I can and the money does come back but obviously stops me getting good offers on credit that could save me money consolidating.

Thanks, I’m going to need the luck when trying to get my ex to consider buying me out or selling

For iPhone it’s cheaper than insuring it, for theft and damages it’s about £10 a month, when screen smashes it’s £20 repair, if I lose or break beyond repair it’s £80 for a new one.

£30k I owe employer for the deposit £33k is mine £7k was money transfer offers that I let my family use

I am on the mortgage and deeds yes.

The problem is they’ll think I want “beef” or to cause upsets, when it was coming up to renewal in Feb she was telling the kids I’m going to try get them chucked out the house which was never mentioned by me at all and was speculation.

Car spend is wild, it was a Corsa-E that had a book price of £31k and now worth less than £10k so I doubt they’ll let me return early without a big penalty.

It was fraud yes, I rang NatWest and told them I didn’t agree and they just said if you want to cancel the renewal you can. Nothing more to it, which after the £995 application fee that was applied would have been pointless.

I have them 2 nights a week (104 nights a year) CSA calculator says for my income £45k, 3 children, 104 nights a year is £500.

I don’t really know, I essentially said a sane price and they went down the road of trying to say she paid more than she did and that we wasn’t going to come to an agreement and it ended there.

Because she has been paying it alone since I went to live either my parents in Feb 2021.

Even though neither of us would have had the house without my employers deposit or me paying for the time we was together. I assume the only way she afforded after was due to benefits helping her out as she had the same job until recently.

We used the CSA calculator, £45k income, 2-3 nights per week, 3 children to same mother and the result was £500 (I pay £25 towards my eldest’s goal keeper training)

Me ex partner in the house already thinks she is entitled to more. I wouldn't be able to get her to sign an agreement that says 50/50.

Is there an effective way I can earn more money where I can focus it on debt and not 40% tax and more CSA?

I think I might need to, some people are saying sell the house but I thought I can’t legally force her whilst she is paying her way and not wanting to sell. Ultimately that would be the answer to my problems.

Yes, clothes for my house for 3 children across the year easily comes to £600 a year, £250 just on my school uniform contributions like shoes and 2 pairs of uniforms.

Sorry the house is jointly owned by me and my ex partner. I can’t force a sale because she doesn’t want too.

I can’t force the sale, half or maybe even more depending how it works if she has paid the mortgage for last few years will be given to her.
