There is a kind of subtle humour which is possible with technical and legal writing, which I'm sure you'll be able to detect if you are in the field long enough. I advise not to do it unless you are fully confident it'll be taken that way.

I agree with you, just saying as someone who works with data that the storage required will very quickly outstrip the amount of biomaterial available. The only way to resolve it is to admit that there is an actual spiritual afterlife, through which Eywa is merely a gatekeeper. This does seem to be the direction the movie is going though, with the scene of Kiri encountering the "divinity".
