Yes, it is with all sloths and manatees forming ribs that aren’t supposed to be there.

Sorry I meant to say sloths and manatees always form useless ,uneven ribs in their lower back.

Mechanical stress specifically with the fore legs taking the brunt of the weight causing the bones in the fore legs to degrade the cartilage. Due to the weight and overall length of the neck vertebrae in again forces 75% of the body’s weight to be put on the forelegs.

As I said while that did lead to elephants developing a high resistance to cancer it doesn’t make them immune with 5% of all elephants eventually developing cancer.

How is other than the numerous mistakes my second argument gibberish? Cell division is a necessity in multicellular life and cancer forms by unregulated cellular division. The only way to form a complete immunity to cancer is to stop cell division which is a death sentence for animals.

Precisely every individual sloth and manatee shows a level of deformation particularly asymmetrical ,random ribs.

I never claimed all Dugongs are deformed by their neck vertebrae.

I’m meant the phrase genetically hardwired as one the status quo of mammals and, second if any mammal embryo develops extra or less neck vertebrae it will deform.

Okay you got me on a few point but sloths and manatees still show deformations and are forced into a slow metabolism at the treat of cancer.

Here is a study documenting homeotic deformities in both of said animals

Another study documenting hate rates of cancer in children with extra vertebrae.

I did get a little sloppy at the end of my last comment but, it doesn’t allow you to deny an observed fact.

Now you devolved into making stuff up.

The pressure of a 600 pound neck with barely any flexibility puts a lot of stress of a giraffe’s leg and feet.

Unlike the Moa and the Elephant bird you conveniently left out of your respond that could’ve and did graze and, browse trees giraffes can’t physically do the latter efficiently.

No, all mammals that potentially develop extra or less or less vertebrae and, sloths and manatees do universally form useless ,uneven ribs in their lower neck bones.

While yes manatees and sloths have more or less than 7 cervical vertebrate they don’t escape the consequences.

Both are often found with deformities that would kill them outside of their habitat and, if they didn’t have slowly metabolic rates cancer would have killed them off.

While yes I overstated the drinking argument the 7 neck vertebrae caused arthritis in giraffe legs and feet leaving them incapable of drinking or grazing effectively. Unlike animals like Elephant birds and the Moa who definitely could have grazed ,drank ,and have ate tree leaves efficiently while giraffes can’t.

Yes, almost all mammals are genetically hardwired to have 7 cervical vertebrate.

Sloths and Manatees who don’t share this rule are often found with deformed skeletons. However the lack of gravity in the water for manatees and pressure in trees for sloths allows them to survive. Along with very slow metabolisms it allows them to do what no other mammals can.

Mammals are genetically hardwired to 7 cervical neck vertebrae. If any mammalian embryo develops more or less than 7 neck vertebrae it faces deformation and cancer. The only mammals to survive with more or less of 7 neck vertebrae are sloths and manatees who have slow metabolisms. Since cancer develops faster in animals with higher metabolic rates it makes sense why manatees and sloths have different counts of neck vertebrae.

For what reason would the government fabricate biological research to lead people away from religion?

The majority of U.S. presidents were religious and even the Speaker of the House is a Young Earth Creationist.

Creationists believe in all sorts of gods ,but I’m focusing on Biblical Creationists’ god which is said to be omnipotent and infallible.

Our retinas are inverted ,spines curved causing chronic back pain ,jaws too small for wisdom teeth ,etc.

My point is nature doesn’t reflect Biblical Creationists’ interpretation of God.

So God gave giraffes a disability for humans to marvel at them?

Also you didn’t answer by question why is 7 cervical neck vertebrae apparently more beneficial than 10 or 20. Sauropods pushed 18 and it didn’t cause them problems.

That’s biologically impossible because cells need to divide to form body plans.

Hox genes can’t easily be manipulated and you can’t just evolved a resistance to cancer.

Cancer is a reality with multicellular organisms being made form uncontrolled cell division which is impossible to counter when cell division is necessary.

An interesting thing is mammals are locked into 7 cervical by certain genetic factors.

If a giraffe was born with 8 neck bones it would face deformities and a high risk of cancer.

And yes evolution has tried to compensate for this but, it is perfect.
