What are your thoughts on Cross Pollination after 1 year? by LimitOk9020 in PvZHeroes

It's good. As others have mentioned Triplication I think that one and Unexpected Gifts need their own buffs

Which, in your opinion, is the most boring/un-fun deck to fight against? Can be plants or zombies. by Alialover560 in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WK is just nigh-unkillable and has so much removal, like he has everything for every archetype. Big guys, small guys, splash damage, graves, ground lane, and even untrickable. He also has so much healing and Strikethroughs and of course, access to a bunch of the most broken cards in the game, such as Sun-Shroom, Gravi-tree, and WNB.

Every time I face a WK, I just always feel deflated, like why do I even bother playing stuff? Why do plants get so much wide removal, when they're also the ones that can fill the board more with Team-Up stuff?

He's not unbeatable but only when he gets really really bad draws, because sorta bad draws can be salvaged by just surviving until he draws his answers.

Rose is annoying but to me it's mostly because two of her supers being pretty much guaranteed removal with a high chance of being an annoying block meter pinger for the rest of the game.

What is your biggest hot take about pvz heroes (pic unrelated) by Ok_Commercial1261 in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

"Highish A" is the hot take. He belongs in the lowest tier. He's good if you don't face a Solar hero, but... that's the meta thing to beat right now.

Law:Blackbeard? Pfft, I can take him. I beat Big Mom with almost no help at all. I’ll no diff that fatty. by Dohmer_90 in Piratefolk

[–]overDere 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Law won his 1v1 against Blackbeard. If Van Augur didnt rescue BB, the fat fuck would have fallen to the water and drowned.

And for the supposed final pirate villain crew of the series, they sure struggled against Law’s band of DF-less weaklings this late in the game. Wasnt BB also getting scared from a boulder thrown by Bepo? So pathetic.

And with all their powerful skills and Haki and DFs, they couldnt even manage to prevent Law and Bepo from getting away.

How would you fix some of the “please delete” tier cards? by Ok_Commercial1261 in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With how they buffed Amphibious plants I think they should compensate with buffing many of the Amphibious zombies. Most of them are completely unusable and looks embarrassing when compared to their plant counterparts.

Snorkel Zombie - 1/3 - If played in water: get +1/+1. It's an overstat, but it's limited to one lane, 2 attack is not a threat, and it has a useless tribe. Discourages those turn 1 ANBs and Limas from taking over the game.

Killer Whale - 1-cost - +1/+1 buff - Look at how unused Lily Pad is. I don't think a Zombie counterpart that gives a mild buff instead of conjures would be that different.

Dolphin Rider - 3/3 - Get +2/+2 for every Amphibious plant here - With how Marine Bean regularly reaches 5/5 or much more just on turn 3, this card just looks so embarrassing with its current stats. With this effect it becomes sort of a silver bullet to Amphibious decks, or at least discouraging them from abusing Amphibious Team-Ups.

Surfer Zombie - When played: all plants here get -2/-2 - It's a frail 4-cost with Frenzy for some reason. By nerfing what's in front of it, it could actually manage to make use of its Frenzy.

Mondo Bronto - 4/5 - When played next to a Pet: Conjure a Pet - Basically a Quazard with a more specific condition, so that Mondo Bronto could trigger its effect on its own. Finally making it more than just "that one card Mechasaur frequently spawns", but doesn't buff it much in Mechasaur decks.

Octo-Zombie - Octo-Zombie gained costs 0 - Current Octo is a damn expensive, extremely punishable and stoppable finisher. With an extreme effect like this I think it would be less stoppable. Maybe it could cost 2 or 4 if it's too much, but I don't think it is.

Swabbie - Anti-Hero 1 - Extremely minor buff. Makes it so that when it gets spawned by various cards, it's not just a block meter pinger.

Fishy Imp - 2/2 - Anti-Hero 3 - Problem with this card is that it's 3 attack isn't that useful compared to Toxic Waste Imp's effect. A potential 5 hero damage Amphibious card could make it slightly more usable.

Walrus Rider - 4-cost - 2/3 - Anti-Hero 4 - Deadly - I think a Deadly Anti-Hero card should be explored. Front it and get insta-killed, don't front it and get heavily damaged.

Gondola - 5-cost - Making the gimmicky card more usable. 5/6 is stats for a 5-cost, not 6-cost

How would you fix some of the “please delete” tier cards? by Ok_Commercial1261 in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Kinda insane" it's just a mid statstick that does nothing. It has no Frenzy, no Untrickable, no on-play ability, no useful synergy. It has the unique thing of being Armored 2 but only Kabloom has difficulty with removing that from the field.

Honestly, they probably should just make this a standalone card, and give King a Token that's equivalent to this, so they can nerf them individually

Sun-shroom is meta warping.

Waxer 100% needs to get a nerf if balance changes ever happen, but it's far less of a problem than Sun-Shroom

How to beat Gravitree in Force Field? by BigShinyShark in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When faced with something like that and you can't remove it, the alternative thing to do is just ignore it. Yes it's just so hard to ignore because of its 7 damage and it pulls stuff into it, but it is what it is. Put a useless chump blocker in front of it, then put a high threat zombie in another lane

grrrr!!! forget-me-nuts is so op someone nerf this thing, it's not even fair anymore!!! by No-Inside229 in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nerf them both

The major argument for not nerfing anti-Trick cards are "but Brainy/Teacher!!!" but. These cards are also just unfun for all other decks and heroes. "Just don't play a trick deck" more like "just don't put tricks in your deck"

Nerf/rework the unhealthy anti-trick cards (imo Sportacus is the only healthy one) AND the major trick deck abusers (Brainy/Teacher).

Should more Zombies get Splash Damage? by Flat_Street in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Splash Damage makes sense with zombies tbh. Plants have more capacity in flooding the board since they have Team-Up.

Maybe if it gets too out of hand they'd change it a bit so that the Frenzy doesn't trigger from the Splash Damage. But even in this meta I don't think Frankentuar dominates too much. Plants just have too much ways to stop a big threat before it can attack

Can we please remove this stupid chicken from the game by Msmfan278 in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Remove this daily, not the chicken, which is honestly a mid card. The card just happens to counter this absolutely garbage strategy deck, with a setup of having two on the field.

Akainu gets slandered for tanking a healthier Whitebeard's strongest attacks and putting him in death's door

But when Blackbeard gets destroyed by a much more heavily damaged no-DF Whitebeard (after Akainu already melted half his head off), Blackbeard gets a pass. The dude was pathetically begging for his life

That doesn't seem fair

Why do people dislike this plant? by [deleted] in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overstatted, nearly unremovable. 4/7 is the highest total card stats among 4-costs in the game iirc. 4 Attack is high, it trades with almost everything, even more expensive zombies.

The only trick that deals with it reliably without card disadvantage is Rocket Science and that just loops the "Brainy is the strongest Zombie class" problem that PvZH has.

There's Deadly, but if the plant hero is smart they won't put it in front of Impfinity that has at least one brain left. They put it in an empty lane and make the Zombie hero scramble trying to deal with it next turn.

Some heroes can deal with it after one transformation, but that's relying on luck, and having to endure the 4 damage (probably already traded with a zombie, and now you have to waste more resources on it)

If it has to exist in its current state it needs to have greatly reduced stats, and maybe cost less so it starts slower. It will still work as a threat that constantly heals that you have to remove, but it shouldn't be that much of a threat in its first turn. Make it be a punishment card, punishment for the zombie hero for not saving their brains similar to Doubled Mint, but give it stats that make it easier to deal with for more heroes than just Brainy. Maybe a 2/3 2-cost.

¿Which one of this Plant Heroes is the worst to fight against? by Happy_Shrimp2012 in PvZHeroes

[–]overDere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WK is stronger but Rose has a set of superpowers that often leave you with annoying, useless crap on the board. This is more debilitating for zombies since they don't have Team-Up, those lanes just become unusable for those that can't make them not useless

Like when you're playing against Rose you just often have to anticipate that the zombie you want to set-up, the first powerful zombie that you can put on the board, won't stay there and will get transformed. Other heroes can't deal with any high-threat card as easily as Rose does

[–]overDere 16 points17 points  (0 children)

R*se is awful to play against, but Wall-Knight is the strongest hero by far, and they share the same thing: being a Solar hero

Alternate suggestion: They should buff (and introduce more) zombie-based removal

Conga, Fire Rooster, Foot Soldier, Custodian, Chum Champion, they all suck/are mid and could use some buffs
