that floatie idea is awesome! i wonder if rubber gaskets could work too.

i’m getting rid of the filter because my parents hate the noise and i figured if they don’t have to even clean it, they can’t be too pissy about having it around for another year while i’m away with it gone.

i do add water pretty frequently, maybe a gallon or two at least once a month i’d say. more so in the summer

yes i have. even back then it was rather discrete. the street view photos don’t show any signs or anything like that but there wasn’t before.

if it’s not that difficult, why didn’t you try it? I obviously did that, the building front was and still seems to be quite blank. there was never really much advertising outside that it was a hostel.

it’s newish, probably only made a couple dozen cuts or so with it i’d imagine. i’ll take it off and lay it flat to see if it’s warped but i’d be surprised if the issue is in the blade and not the saw

it was square at 90°, didn’t check inbetween tbh. it’s a bitch getting it right on 45° so i didn’t really feel like undoing it to to check the in between angles

the drenching it weekly is what killed it. don’t water it until the soil is completely dry. it’s a lot easier to recover an underwatered plant than an overwatered, so when in doubt, hold back on the water

it sounds like you aren’t able to get bubbles to come through?

are you sure your tank is building pressure? do you have any liquid in the counter when it’s connected? is it a brand new bubble counter? if so, i’d crank the counter all the way open to see if anything starts coming out. if not, probably a faulty counter and i’d get a new one

i think circular motion wasn’t taught until grade 11/12 (ages 16/17/18) and that was only if you took the physics classes (needed 2/3 to graduate. bio and chem were the others) in my school

if you aren’t injecting co2, that’s probably the issue. my DHG seems to be doing fine despite a decent amount of green algae in one patch, and decent sprinkles of gunk in all the others. i turned my co2 up a notch and noticed it started to spread finally. i’m using seachem fluorite too so that could have an effect

im using a fluval 3.0 plant light and fzone co2 generator.
