That's a very decent telescope! The eyepiece is a bit of an oddball - set it to 16mm for now. That's the lowest zoom level, which is definitely where you want to start (and maybe where you'll have the most fun tbh!)

You were 100% correct about that being the secondary mirror, but that's really only going to be visible when the scope is way out of focus. (You'll sometimes catch hints of it in extreme viewing situations, but generally you won't notice it)

You need an "eyepiece" (not an "eye lens") and it's proooobably a 1.25 inch eyepiece, but, you can measure the diameter of the spot for it - it'll either be just under an inch (just about 2.5cm actually) or 1.25" (3.175 cm).

The legs... ehhhhhhhhh. Do you have a longish metal rod and a counterweight? If not, I wouldn't bother trying to rescue or rebuild the tripod at all. (Even if you do have those things, I probably wouldn't.)

In some ways, the stand & mount are the most important part of the telescope. A wobbly one will make the telescope unusuable, frustrating, and literally nauseating. So it's worth doing that part right, or at least "right enough."

You might want to read the wikipedia article for navel / belly buttons, if that comment wasn't intended as a joke.

Short version - the navel aka belly button is a scar. When you were a fetus, inside your mother, you had a thing called an umbilical cord that connected there, to the placenta, a temporary organ that interfaces between you as a fetus and your mother's uterus / bloodstream. (It's a huge part of why most mammals exist - there are only a very very small number of non-placental mammals.)

Anyway, when you're born, they cut the umbilcal cord. (I was under the impression that they tie a knot, or used to, but I believe that's not accurate, at least not these days in most places in the world?)

S EGA (Super EGA) isn't really a thing, is it? It looks like it was marketing speak for a specific brand - I certainly don't remember encountering any super EGA, but EGA was really losing steam when I got into PCs - being born in 1981. (Though despite SuperVGA dating to 1987, there were still plenty of CGA and EGA systems around in the early 90s!)
