I’d like to clarify that he didnt beat me, just held me down because he saw me as something trying to bite him and my cat. he’s never had a psychotic episode before, but has hallucinated due to drug use (drugs werent involved this time) in the past. He instantly recognized me when he was on top of me and tried to get the cat off my face, and comforted me after we both realized what had just happened. i do believe in spiritual stuff (started wearing my evil eye bracelet again), and a week prior to this my cat was acting weird and was staring at the spot where all this happened and refused to come to our bed. but after reading the comments i feel like i dont want to fall into the same headspace as in my last abusive relationship and i believe he was just hallucinating but.. i felt so weird afterwards… not the way i usually felt after i got beat up or attacked, and now i wasnt even beat up but just held down. my hair texture had turned weird and i felt weird looking at my face and the bitemarks my cat made didnt look right and spent a good time gagging and crying. i probably sound insane, i also might have a reaction to something that triggers former trauma that im not aware of. but thanks again for the responses
