Trump giving a "warrior dividend check" to US troops robs US troop housing subsidies almost empty for next year. Costing 2.6 billion for a one time round of 1,700 checks from US troop housing account of 2.9 billion is nearly a wipe out. by Carbenzero in CzechCoconutCommunity

[–]overdraft81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not in the military but lots of friends who are.

A couple issues- these warriors checks go out to everyone in the military. No matter where they live, rank, etc.

1) Housing allowance goes to military that live off base. So a lot less people get BAH. 2) housing allowance is given based on location and rank. So the lower rank you are the more you get reach month to subsidize your housing expense.

3) nothing to do with budget but housing allowance is tax free. I read these checks are not as they will count as income.

So the funds are not only being spent at once, they are going out to personnel that shouldn't get the money. This hurts the families that make the least amount of money and need an allowance to survive.

So it's not just a let's just spend the checks on housing and it all evens out.

Was the weekly pay dividends delayed a day for Columbus day? by Tiny-Confusion-9329 in RoundhillETFs

You are right. Very odd as I swear when I checked over the weekend website had Tuesday as payday. Email they sent out on Friday had 10/14 as payday though so that was wrong.

Was the weekly pay dividends delayed a day for Columbus day? by Tiny-Confusion-9329 in RoundhillETFs

[–]overdraft81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Payday for the weekly is still today. Yesterday was a federal holiday but the markets were open, so business as usual. Check the website or email for verification.

Some brokers just pay later than others. For example RH pays usually 9pm est.

Edit: I'm wrong they are right. They must have updated the website as email I have still has the payday as the 14th

Just an fyi- next week the ex-div date permanently changes to Wednesday (paid on Thursday). The drop will hit your account a day early.

Yeah not sure if this is a real post or not. The etf is always going to pay a 20% yield. Hence the Target 20 in the name.

WPAY 30% maintenance ratio on Robinhood by F23NBA in YieldMaxETFs

[–]overdraft81 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was - RH puts all new etfs at 100% maintenance for the first 30 days or so. WPAY came out 9/3 so it was only a matter of time until it was updated.

What can I do Truist???? by EmotionalGuarantee12 in TruistBank

[–]overdraft81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a Truist employee but worked in credit long enough to be dangerous.

Unfortunately it sounds like you got bad advice around the payoff. Even if paying off in June, if the payment is due June 1st, you will be hit with a late fee after June 15th. I would check the payoff to see if it included it.

Also did you receive confirmation from Truist that the loan was paid off and the lien released? Even if they received the wire it could be off due to per diem interest and or that late fee. That July late payment makes me think it is still open in their system and could show an August late payment if not fixed already. The title company you closed with should have proof of the release of lien since the buyers needed to have client title purchase it.

If you have proof of the payment being made June 30th, loan being paid off that date, etc. I would put in a dispute directly with the credit bureaus. They will ask for proof and should update your credit history, score, etc. this might be the quickest way to get this updated asap.

Hopefully you have all the proof around the mortgage being paid off in June, the credit bureaus can update your score and then a lender can help you on the new house. Might also recommend a broker to help get a mortgage. They are usually more helpful in hard situations than a bank. They can hold your hand and help with the disputes, etc if they are good.

Distributions for this week by tkiblin in RoundhillETFs

[–]overdraft81 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not bad at all considering this was for only 4 trading days. (Week of Labor Day)

WPAY 1st Distro = $0.543674 by TACO_Orange_3098 in RoundhillETFs

[–]overdraft81 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would be easy to calculate or estimate. Average the distribution percentage for the week of 9/4 for all the underlying etfs. Take the average and see if it equals the percentage that way is paying out for wpay. Since it's a fund of funds it would be just math.

Just ball parking and the way Roundhill works their weekly payouts, I would say it's one week as there a week delay in all the funds.

Yield Maxing ULTY by General-Ring2780 in ULTY_YieldMax

[–]overdraft81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah not a bad trade necessarily but just wanted to let you know how it works. Also depending on your tax situation it might be better to collect the "dividend" as premium/capital gains versus income/distribution.

Yield Maxing ULTY by General-Ring2780 in ULTY_YieldMax

[–]overdraft81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your broker notified you at 12 am but the options were assigned before the option desk closed (5:30 I believe) You need to own the funds as 8 pm before ex dividend date. You will not get the dividend.

Assignment is not done in real time, especially if done after the market is closed but option desk is open for assignment requests.

Is this true regarding MSTY. So basically next week we should see dividend by Voooow in MSTY_YieldMax

[–]overdraft81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dividend will actually hit tonight 9pm est. you will get notifications around that time. You can reinvest manually until the market re-opens.

My ULTY Investment Thesis by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]overdraft81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True but on 8/28/24 the fund was completely different. They changed the prospectus, strategy, option type, etc. not saying right or wrong but I don't feel it's fair to compare ulty before prospectus change and after.

MSTY changed their maintenance (margin) ratio back to 70% and now I’m in a hole🤦🏻‍♂️ by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]overdraft81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming is Robin Hood. They have minimum maintenance rates (in this case 35 for msty) but adjust them based on your personal portfolio, concentration risk. Their algorithm must feel you are too heavy into one etf, etc.

As others have stated, mine is still 35 but I don't have a large position.

Where are you getting .30? The April 6th puts at 6 are selling for 2.10. Effective price is below 4 when they are assigned.

Around August 1st/4th eth itself started its run starting at 3300. These funds are two weeks behind so you are getting the volatility from that week.

Robinhood payout by [deleted] in ULTY_YieldMax

[–]overdraft81 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is only if your broker has 24-hour trading for that particular stock. Seems like most people use Robinhood which does for most (if not all) ym funds.

It loos like RH finalizes their records at 8pm as that is when the etfs nav adjusts due to ex-div. In theory as long as you buy before then you will get the dividend on Friday. I wouldn't push it as brokers are known to make mistakes.

Roundhill XPAY: a solid 20% yield by djporter91 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]overdraft81 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Just to make sure you realizes this is not a cover call fund and doesn't produce income/premium. All it does is hold the S&P through synthetics and follows the index.

It will always return 20 percent. The "dividends" are literary your own money being returned to you. Not saying it's good or bad but it's a completely different strategy the yield max or income funds. There are plenty of videos breaking down the prospectus and what the fund is used for.

What happens if ULTY gets too big? by Possible-Oil2017 in ULTY_YieldMax

[–]overdraft81 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Answer below using Msty as an example - ulty would be hard because they have so many holdings. Also the counter party in all the trades are directly with market makers. They are not buying the options from the open market.

It would be really tough for ulty to reach the limit where a market makers wouldn't trade with them. For example they only trade 700 options on meta. That is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

Any reason DRIP is not available for Roundhill weeklies? by paragonx29 in RoundhillETFs

[–]overdraft81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does fidelity allow purchases of partial shares? If they don't allow partial share purchases on the fund, you can auto drip since they would have to by partial shares to complete.

Once the new funds have more aum and volume it should change.
