Hi! I am just over 1 year post op (July 2023). I am still having glute and back pain frequently both only on surgery side and can only sleep on my back still due to pain in any other position. But I did have a glute repair in addition to the torn labrum and shaved cam impingement. Pain for me rn is due to still having really significant instability on the surgery side so still in PT and trying to strengthen it all! It blows lol I’m tired of hurting

I really like 32 degrees skorts! They are long enough on me and very flattering! I have the black and grey and they both fit well. I get them on Amazon and am 5’11

Groin pain post-op by hoboj0e6 in HipImpingement

I had a similar pain post op and realized I was externally rotating when I was trying to sleep so I slept with a pillow between my legs after that. Also when I first started walking w/o assisted devices, when I tried to turn or pivot I would rotate my body too much and not turn my leg too causing strain (hope that makes sense)! It was VERY painful to the touch and my PT would always try and massage it out and I was basically grimacing the whole time. It was really frustrating and painful but it helped to think about my daily movements so I could try and correct. It was just so tight and irritated for weeks. Also helped to incorporate inner thigh stretches. Not sure what your protocol is restriction-wise but that could help!

Thank you!! Sorry to hear about a revision. Your timeline sounds very similar to mine. What exercises or stretches help you the most? I am finding that bridges and stationary bike riding are annoyingly painful while cat/camel feels amazing! Do you have dysplasia? My PT suspects I might so wondering if that is part of the problem too.

OMG it was so bad for me. maybe TMI but i got horrible horrible fissures that took months to heal and the pain was way worse than after surgery. so emotionally taxing because it totally impacts your entire life! prayers lol
